With over a decade in mental health, I’ve had the privilege of working with a diverse range of individuals. From my early days supporting Haitian refugees abroad, to my experience working with neurodiverse young adults and seniors, I have helped people from many walks of life navigate complex emotions, trauma, and identity. Approach Description: I use a trauma-informed and integrative approach, drawing from a range of evidence-based and holistic techniques to create a therapy experience tailored to you. I have listed some of the modalities that I use most below, however, my experience extends beyond these and I remain open to expanding my knowledge base. It taps into the brain’s natural healing abilities to release emotional blocks, create new neural pathways, and promote emotional regulation. Psychodynamic Therapy: Examines unconscious and maladaptive coping patterns that have gone awry, uncovering distortions and defense mechanisms. By fostering self-awareness, this approach enables transformative insights for meaningful change. Parts Work: Sees the self as a complex entity with many "parts," each with its own patterns of thoughts, feelings, and motivations. It helps build collaboration within your "inner team" to promote balance and well-being. Meditation/Visualization: Explore your mind with enhanced vividness and intentionality. This practice prompts your mind to open new pathways for emotional release and change, guiding you to uncover insights, deepen self-awareness, and cultivate inner peace. By using focused imagery and mindfulness, it helps you connect with your emotional landscape in a more profound way, supporting healing and transformation. It may also be used in more simple forms as a tool for regulation and relaxation. Attachment-Based Therapy: Explores the ways that formative relationships have shaped current patterns. By understanding and challenging these dynamics, we can work to create secure, healthy connections that foster trust and emotional stability. Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT): EFT uses tapping on specific points on the body to help you focus deeply on emotional blockages, release them, and shift your relationship with emotional sensations. Gestalt Therapy: Encourages awareness of the present moment and the internal conflicts that may arise between thoughts, feelings, and actions. By using techniques like role-playing and empty chair work, Gestalt therapy helps you integrate these elements to achieve a more authentic and balanced self. Transpersonal Therapy: Explores the spiritual and transcendent dimensions of the self, addressing the deeper aspects of human experience. Vajrayana Tantric Meditation: This practice is unique in its integration of both "top-down" and "bottom-up" neural processing, allowing you to engage with your body's sexual energy in a profoundly transformative way. It helps you focus, move, and channel this energy throughout your body for healing. Especially beneficial for those not ready for physical touch or those whose mind blocks sexual enjoyment, tantric meditation serves as a powerful tool for reclaiming and enhancing your sexual well-being. Incorporating mindful meditation, breathwork, vocalizations, kegels, and visualization, it fosters a deeper sense of peace, connection, and vitality. Vinyasa Yoga: Uses fluid, intentional movement synchronized with breath to release stress, increase body awareness, and improve emotional well-being. Vinyasa yoga helps foster a balanced mind-body connection that supports emotional healing and physical vitality.
