Menaka Thiru
Counsellor/Therapist, Accredited Registrant Member of The National Counselling Society, Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling
I see counselling as a transformative journey that can positively change and shape the way you both see and experience yourself and furthermore relate to others.
I am an experienced and dedicated counsellor of 12 years' standing and I work with a broad range of issues and welcome a diversity of clients. We work together so you can find relief from emotional distress, build self-awareness and access inner resources with the ultimate aim of improving your overall quality of life .
The counselling process is a rich opportunity to constructively evolve and increase your personal choice and freedom. It promotes fresh insights about yourself, the people and the circumstances of your life, thereby offering you a pathway to nourishing experiences both in and outside the counselling roorm.
Over the years I have practised as a counsellor I have consistently established supportive and collaborative therapeutic relationships with a diverse range of individuals, each with their unique story characterised by their particular circumstances and challenges.

John Castleford
Registered Psychotherapist, MA, MIAEB, FRAI
I have been a psychotherapist and mental health coach for many years, and I now specialise almost exclusively in helping those with, or recovering from, cancer. It's a debilitating disease that I have experienced twice, so I know at first hand the effect it can have on the quality of life and particularly how it makes us feel -- either as a reaction to being diagnosed and undergoing treatment, or when in remission as a survivor, the fear of it recurring.
I can also help family members and close friends, who often feel helpless bystanders.
We have all experienced our feelings dominating what we think, and what we do. But heightened emotions stop us thinking clearly. And that can often lead us to feel out of control.
Unlike many therapists, I do not believe that the adverse effect on our thinking and our behaviour from a life-changing event like cancer is a dysfunctional flaw or a disorder that needs treatment. Typical reactions to cancer --anxiety, fear, stress and low mood -- are part of life. Why cancer often triggers is a range of reactions: shock and denial; Shock and denial that it is happening. Coping with fear, anxiety and panic can be difficult, particularly as mood swings may frequently change. Feelings of sadness may range from low moof to extreme depression.
Ultimately we know, at a rational level, that we are mortal. But we also have we also have a very strong instinct to survive. We want to live. And enjoy life. Cancer is not the death sentence it once was.
I can help you come to terms with the reality as well as the inevitable perceptions that may influence you. And I can help you to flourish, rather than just cope and survive.

Daniel Dennehy Counselling
Counsellor/Therapist, BA, Dip Grad, AdvDip, MBACP
Welcome, I am an Integrative counsellor. I work with people struggling with anxiety, depression and bereavement. People also attend because they are feeling stuck, struggling to find meaning or purpose in their lives. They may be struggling with their relationships with food, alcohol, drugs, gambling, sex, shopping... using these methods to manage their emotions, or to distract themselves from situations or feelings that are overwhelming them.
I have worked for over ten years in the field of sexual health in both the NHS and charity sector. I have extensive experience working with LGBT clients at places such as London Friend, The Helios Centre and 56 Dean Street. I offer support for people struggling with compulsive sexual behaviours or what is often referred to as sex addiction. Shame and guilt can prevent us from seeking support. I have a pro-sexual stance. I offer a gender, sexuality and relationship diverse service, focussed on people leading authentic and satisfactory lives.
