Lavinia May
Counsellor/Therapist, MNCPS (Acc.)
Hi, I'm Lavinia.
If you and your partner keep having the same argument, feel disconnected, or find yourselves walking on eggshells - you're not alone, and things can change.
I specialise in couples therapy, and also work with individuals. My approach is warm, honest and practical: we'll make sense of what's going on between you, and build small, realistic steps that help your relationship feel easier, closer and more like you again.
I use proven tools and techniques - without the jargon. Sessions feel like real conversations with direction: we set goals together, track what's working, and adapt as we go.
work with couples and individuals navigating: recurring arguments & communication breakdowns · trust & repair after conflict · intimacy & emotional disconnection · anxiety creeping into the relationship · family & in-law boundaries · life transitions & burnout · reconnecting after a rough patch
Practicalities: 50-minute sessions • Online or in person in my Sandbach office • Individual & Couples. 🎁 20% Off All Therapy Sessions: Spring is here - and so is 20% off all therapy sessions. Let's make it count!
Next step: Introductory Session
50 minutes | Individuals & Couples
The first step is an initial session together - a relaxed conversation to get to know each other, hear a little about what's been going on, and explore how I may be able to support you. There's no pressure or commitment at this stage. Prefer to skip the Introductory Session? You're welcome to book your first therapy session directly.

Ulrike Nau-Debor
Psychologist, CPsychol, AFBPsS, HCPC registered
I love working with people who have a yearning to become unapologetically themselves, want to listen to their inner voice and be able to let go of the trauma that seems to keep them stuck in the past. There is nothing better than seeing my clients create the lives they want to live and be who they really are.
If you are curious to find out, if we are a good fit or if you have any questions about how I work, contact me for a complimentary conversation. I like to take some time first for both of us to get to know each other a bit so we can freely decide if we want to work together. Just drop me an email and I look forward to meeting you.

Rachel Eddins
Counsellor/Therapist, MEd, LPC
If you are looking for guidance with anxiety, fears, depression, or trauma and ptsd, it takes courage to ask for help. Admitting you can’t do everything on your own, is the first step toward achieving wellness in a fast-paced, demanding world.
You are an expert on your situation. You understand it better than anyone because you are always in it, but when was the last time you stepped away to look at it from a new perspective? My approach is focused on helping you feel that you are whole, capable, enough, and doing your best - because you are.
Maybe, you just need some new skills to cope with all that goes on in your life. What you have learned in life never covered this. Or, perhaps, you've been feeling stuck in the same cycle of symptoms and are ready to try new skills to gain relief. We will work together to implement practical skills, create new habits, and get you moving again.
My approach is more active. I will be an active participant in your healing journey. Together, we will identify your most important goals and needs and work on a plan to get you there.

John Castleford
Registered Psychotherapist, MA, MIAEB, FRAI
I have been a psychotherapist and mental health coach for many years, and I now specialise almost exclusively in helping those with, or recovering from, cancer. It's a debilitating disease that I have experienced twice, so I know at first hand the effect it can have on the quality of life and particularly how it makes us feel -- either as a reaction to being diagnosed and undergoing treatment, or when in remission as a survivor, the fear of it recurring.
I can also help family members and close friends, who often feel helpless bystanders.
We have all experienced our feelings dominating what we think, and what we do. But heightened emotions stop us thinking clearly. And that can often lead us to feel out of control.
Unlike many therapists, I do not believe that the adverse effect on our thinking and our behaviour from a life-changing event like cancer is a dysfunctional flaw or a disorder that needs treatment. Typical reactions to cancer --anxiety, fear, stress and low mood -- are part of life. Why cancer often triggers is a range of reactions: shock and denial; Shock and denial that it is happening. Coping with fear, anxiety and panic can be difficult, particularly as mood swings may frequently change. Feelings of sadness may range from low moof to extreme depression.
Ultimately we know, at a rational level, that we are mortal. But we also have we also have a very strong instinct to survive. We want to live. And enjoy life. Cancer is not the death sentence it once was.
I can help you come to terms with the reality as well as the inevitable perceptions that may influence you. And I can help you to flourish, rather than just cope and survive.
