THE WHOLE STORY APPROACH: I lead with a relational way of working that ensures every part of your journey from your heritage and faith to your professional life is seen and valued. I am a BACP Accredited Psychotherapist and Counsellor with over 10 years of experience, shaped by a life lived across cultures. As a British-born woman I have a deep respect for people from all walks of life and faith traditions, my practice is deeply rooted in understanding the delicate balance of identity, belonging, and faith. Having lived and worked in Qatar for six years within a diverse international community, I bring a global, nuanced perspective to my relational work. I understand the unique beauty and the complex tensions of mixed-heritage families and the journey of navigating different worldviews while staying true to one's values. My approach is warm, professional, and spiritually sensitive. Whether you are navigating the pressures of leadership and burnout or exploring personal questions of heritage and identity, I provide a space where all parts of you your faith, your history, and your professional ambitions are held with respect. I have been a psychotherapist and mental health coach for many years, and I now specialise almost exclusively in helping those with, or recovering from, cancer. It's a debilitating disease that I have experienced twice, so I know at first hand the effect it can have on the quality of life and particularly how it makes us feel -- either as a reaction to being diagnosed and undergoing treatment, or when in remission as a survivor, the fear of it recurring. I can also help family members and close friends, who often feel helpless bystanders. We have all experienced our feelings dominating what we think, and what we do. But heightened emotions stop us thinking clearly. And that can often lead us to feel out of control. Unlike many therapists, I do not believe that the adverse effect on our thinking and our behaviour from a life-changing event like cancer is a dysfunctional flaw or a disorder that needs treatment. Typical reactions to cancer --anxiety, fear, stress and low mood -- are part of life. Why cancer often triggers is a range of reactions: shock and denial; Shock and denial that it is happening. Coping with fear, anxiety and panic can be difficult, particularly as mood swings may frequently change. Feelings of sadness may range from low moof to extreme depression. Ultimately we know, at a rational level, that we are mortal. But we also have we also have a very strong instinct to survive. We want to live. And enjoy life. Cancer is not the death sentence it once was. I can help you come to terms with the reality as well as the inevitable perceptions that may influence you. And I can help you to flourish, rather than just cope and survive.

Life can feel hard. I’m dedicated to providing a safe, non-judgmental space for my clients to explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. I often incorporate mindfulness techniques to support clients through challenging situations including grief, loss, abandonment, relationship issues, as well as anxiety and depression. If you're feeling stuck for any reason, I can offer a safe, holding space to listen to you and work with you to gently challenge how you think, feel and behave. I'll work at your pace and may use mindfulness or creative interventions to aid our work together, as well as grounding techniques to turn down any overwhelm or white noise. I also do 2-chair work to help with ways of communicating, as well as processing loss and bereavement.

Liam West

Registered Psychotherapist, MA, Adv Dip MBACP
I’ve been in practise since 2016 and feel very blessed having had the opportunity to help so many people on their healing journey. My first focus is always in creating a safe space; one of understanding, compassion and openness. Anyone attending therapy needs to feel safe, secure, and seen and understood by their therapist. Though there’s a lot more that I do in my work with people than above, it’s those foundations - the relationship between therapist and clients - that everything else we do is built from. You will get 100% from me, as well as a dedication to continual learning and exploring, refining already known approaches, as well as adding in new tools and techniques. I know therapy can be a nervous thing to first try, but I’m sure in saying that I will put anyone at ease very quickly, and that anyway that sticks with therapy - and feels safe and heard by myself - will experience change that is hard to almost hard to believe until it starts to happen. I look forward to meeting you
