Helping men manage their anger has become an area of specialty that I really enjoy. I draw from several theories of psychotherapy, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and person-centered therapy, internal family systems (IFS) and others.
In Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for anger management, I teach you how to recognize what triggers your anger and change how you think about those situations. CBT helps you replace negative thoughts with more balanced ones and teaches you ways to stay calm. You'll also practice problem-solving and communication skills to handle anger in a healthier way. This approach helps you control your reactions and feel less angry over time.
Anger issues aren’t uncommon and the first step towards change is an admittance of the problem. Learning to stop isn’t as simple as some may think, but together we can come up with a game plan tailored exclusively to you.
