Licensed Clinical Social Worker, LCSW, LICSW
At Finding Balance Therapy & Wellness, we provide compassionate, trauma-informed care to help individuals heal from past experiences and regain a sense of safety and control. Using evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), we support clients in processing their trauma in a way that feels safe and manageable. We recognize that trauma affects everyone differently, which is why we tailor our approach to each individual’s unique needs, helping them develop healthy coping strategies, build resilience, and restore a sense of empowerment. Our goal is to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where healing can take place, allowing individuals to move forward with greater confidence and emotional well-being.

Licensed Clinical Social Worker, LCSW
I am trained in TF-CBT, and specialize in supporting clients through their trauma work. When someone is a survivor of trauma they continue to live with a nervous system which is hardwired to help them survive in unsafe conditions. This likely is what kept them alive and able to make it to the present day, but it's a great inconvenience to be in Survival Mode when trying to get through daily life. It also can mean that a person is well aware of how NOT to live a healthy life, but has had little to no guidance on what to do in order to build the kind of life they'd like. Healing from trauma can feel impossible, but it is entirely doable. I work to support people in cleaning out those old emotional wounds, so they can finally heal properly and begin living the life they want for themselves. It's hard, and it's possible.

Counselor/Therapist, LCPC
Being widowed young in a violent accident, has helped shape my work with individuals suffering from trauma and PTSD. I work with you on addressing the emotional issues that arise from trauma and PTSD and integrate several modalities based on what speaks to you and also integrate somatic processing to help facilitate change within the nervous system. I also integrate the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) which works with your vagus nerve through sound vibrations that activate the auditory neural network including the branch of the vagus nerve - the ramus auricular. As the vagus nerve is stimulated, signals are sent to the nervous system telling it to relax and let go of tension and thus improving how your brain and body functions. We can't necessarily control external situations or obstacles that faces us in any given moment, but we can change our responses to them. This is part of the core work with those that suffer from trauma and PTSD.
