Dr. Ryan Kitts Schallon

Psychologist, PsyD
If you are having thoughts of ending your life, you do not need someone to panic. You need someone who can hear it. Suicidal thinking is often the mind's way of saying that something in the current life has become unbearable — and that the person cannot yet see another way through. Therapy is a place to say the thing out loud, without performance, without crisis, without anyone rushing to fix it. The work is to find out what has become unbearable and to discover whether there are possibilities that the pain has made invisible.

Omni Mental Health, Inc.

Counselor/Therapist, Multi-Specialty Therapy Group
Experiencing suicidal thoughts, chronic suicidal ideation, or urges to self-harm can feel overwhelming, but effective treatment and support are available. At Omni Mental Health, we provide compassionate, evidence-based care focused on improving emotional regulation, managing crises, and building a life worth living. Omni offers a Minnesota state-certified Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), a structured treatment specifically designed to help individuals experiencing chronic suicidal thoughts, self-harming behaviors, severe emotional dysregulation, and borderline personality disorder (BPD). Research has shown that comprehensive DBT can reduce suicidal behaviors, self-harm, psychiatric hospitalizations, and emergency department visits related to mental health crises in certain populations. Through weekly individual DBT therapy, DBT skills training groups, between-session phone coaching, and coordinated treatment, clients develop practical skills in distress tolerance, emotion regulation, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness. Our goal is to help individuals recognize warning signs, navigate emotional crises safely, reduce reliance on emergency services when clinically appropriate, and build long-term stability and resilience. With locations in Blaine, Roseville, and Rochester, Minnesota, Omni welcomes referrals for comprehensive DBT treatment. Our team can help determine program eligibility and appropriate levels of care. If you are in immediate danger or unable to stay safe, call 911 or visit the nearest emergency department. For immediate crisis support, call or text 988.
