Recognizing that you may benefit from professional support is not a weakness but an amazing strength. By coming to this site, you have already taken the first step towards positive change and that takes courage! I know that for myself, the world feels like a very different place than it did a few years ago and many of us are feeling that impact. Therapeutic support is an excellent way to work through the changes of the past and to find ways to look toward a brighter future. Whether you are looking for general support or to target a specific issue, I would be pleased to chat with you during a free 15-minute phone consultation. NS Talks

Counsellor/Therapist, RP, RCT, RCT-C, CCC, CCTP
We’re passionate about our work. We're constantly engaging in professional development to ensure we’re the best therapists we can be. We meet regularly to exchange ideas, and even have a book club. Our team members hold several additional certifications treating Clinical Trauma, ADHD, and are trained in EMDR. We work with clients dealing with a number of struggles and we're here to help. The research has consistently shown the importance of good fit for successful counselling. That's why we start with a consult with the Clinical Director, followed by a consult with 1-2 of our therapists to empower you to have a say in who you work with. You will not be matched off a spreadsheet or by the next available appointment. We're a counsellor-led practice. I’ll be uncomfortably blunt with you on this: there are a lot of practices out there run by people who know nothing about counselling, hiring subcontractors at every step, trying to maximize how much they can charge the client, and minimize how much they pay the counsellor. These environments inhibit counsellor growth, may have high turnover, and usually do not deliver the quality of care you deserve. It’s just the 4 of us and a monthly bookkeeper. Since we’re virtual, we pass the savings on to you where possible. We do not have a large ad budget, relying on the quality of work we do leading to word of mouth referrals.

Woodstock, Ontario therapist: Selah Counselling, Mediation, and Training Center, registered social worker
CBT

Selah Counselling, Mediation, and Training Center

Registered Social Worker, BSW, MSW, RSW
Selah Counselling, Mediation, and Training Center is a practice built on the belief that healing takes time, safety, and depth. We are not a quick-fix model. We integrate neuroscience, attachment theory, trauma-informed care, and faith for those who desire it, so that change is not just behavioural but transformational. What sets us apart is our commitment to long-term relational work, nervous system stabilization, and whole-person care. We look at the patterns beneath the symptoms, the story beneath the survival, and we create a space where individuals, couples, and families can slow down enough to heal from the inside out. We are steady, clinically grounded, and rooted in the understanding that sustainable change happens when people feel safe enough to be fully seen.
