With over a decade of specialized experience, I have worked more with individuals with schizophrenia and schizoaffective than any other disorder. Together, we can create and learn to maintain a meaningful purpose and existence. You can have the life you imagine! I also provide support to loved ones who are of support to someone with a psychotic disorder.

Losing touch with reality is more complicated than just trying to realign oneself with the external environment. To understand this experience, one must work to appreciate the subjective realities that illuminate these challenges.

Schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders can have profound effects on peoples' lives. However, therapy can be a very helpful addition to medication and other treatments. I have experience treating psychotic disorders using Psychodynamically-Oriented Supportive Therapy (POST) and other approaches. I have also published professional works on both hallucinations and delusions. Please note that I only do individual therapy (i.e., not couple's or family therapy).

Having a background in substance use disorders and working at the VA means I have a great deal of experience working with individuals psychotic disorders. If you have schizophrenia or another psychotic disorder I will work with you to challenge and manage delusional thoughts and hallucinations to improve your ability to function in daily life. We will work together to find ways to manage hallucinations and delusions without letting these experiences dominate your life.
