Joe White
Registered Psychotherapist, MACP, RP
We all experience anger at some point in our lives, whether due to frustrations with others, personal setbacks, or external events like travel delays or news stories. While it's a natural emotion, it's crucial to manage it before it escalates into something more destructive. If you find your anger overwhelming or too frequent, it's completely acceptable to seek help. I can assist you in identifying your anger triggers and teach you strategies to cope with sudden outbursts using tools like CBT, ACT, or EMDR. These techniques can help you maintain control and improve your overall well-being and relationships.

To help people manage anger, one approach I often use to guide sessions is called Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (or CBT). It tends to be a shorter-term, situation-oriented, and present-focused approach, that for example helps people see the difference between thoughts and feelings, and in turn free themselves from unwanted patterns of behaviour. CBT is grounded in the belief that it is a person’s perception of events – rather than the events themselves – that determines how he or she will feel and act in response. CBT can often help with anger and many other issues. With CBT, you’ll be able to examine and question the thoughts that influence your emotions and behavior.
If you think you would benefit from a cognitive behavioural therapy approach for anger or other issues, please contact me today. I would be happy to speak with you about how I might be able to help.

Morgan Mackenzie
Registered Social Worker, RSW
In my practice, I offer effective and personalized support for individuals grappling with anger management issues. Anger is a natural emotion, but when it becomes overwhelming or leads to destructive behaviors, it can adversely impact one's relationships, work, and overall well-being. My approach to anger management involves a combination of cognitive-behavioral techniques, mindfulness practices, and communication skills training. Together, we explore the underlying triggers and patterns that contribute to excessive anger, working to develop healthier coping mechanisms. Through a collaborative and non-judgmental process, I assist clients in gaining a deeper understanding of their emotions, fostering self-regulation, and promoting constructive expression of feelings. My goal is to empower individuals to navigate challenging situations with resilience, enhancing interpersonal relationships and improving overall emotional balance.
