Counsellor/Therapist, PhD
Welcome, I’m glad you’re here. If you are reading this, you are considering making a change in your life by looking for a therapist. Change can be scary. I want to celebrate your strength that brought you to this powerful, and perhaps daunting, first step on your path to self-discovery and growth. Whatever pain and suffering you have endured; you no longer have to face alone. I want to honor and respect your courage by committing to co-creating and nurturing a non-judgemental space where you feel physically and psychologically safe, seen, and valued. When we have built a trusting relationship, we can begin to explore the patterns of emotions, thoughts, and behaviours that are negatively impacting your life. In my collaborative approach to therapy, you are the expert on your life; my role, through my knowledge of therapeutic processes and interventions, is to support, encourage, and travel alongside you on your journey.

I provide therapy for trauma, addiction, and borderline personality disorder, tailored to what you are actually going through. Together, we will look at how these concerns affect your daily life, make sense of reactions that feel hard to control, and develop practical tools for difficult moments. Registered Psychotherapist, Registered Gestalt Psychotherapist Somatic Experiencing Practitioner Gottman Trained Couples Therapist
As a gestalt psychotherapist, who pairs gestalt training with somatic experiencing I can help support you in healing from your trauma. No one in the Niagara Region utilizes the combination of these therapies and applies them to working with couples in crisis. Gottman (couples) and Post Induction Therapy training (relational/developmental trauma) I am sorry to say but popular approaches to healing trauma like CBT will provide only temporary relief at best. If you want to get to the root of your trauma and heal somatic experiencing (SE) is what you need and when supported with the power of relational gestalt therapy you will shift your shit! SE focuses on regulating your nervous system. With SE work trauma responses are completed and energy is released back into the system and with this the resolution and disappearance of physical complaints, including headaches, digestive problems, and pain syndromes can be resolved, and emotional regulation can be restored. I will teach you how to work with your stress response - the body's innate alarm system in response to a perceived danger, also called the "Fight or Flight" response. It is highly adaptive to danger and human survival when threats are physical, but less so when threats are psychological, or imaginary, among other somatic and relational skills. I have been trained under Dr Abi Blakeslee part of Dr Peter A Levine's legacy group out of California for Somatic Experiencing and the late great Dr Bud Feder the author of Beyond the Hot Seat was on my dissertation committee overseeing a phenomenological study of the effectiveness of a gestalt therapy group I created to reduce stress in working informal caregivers of the elderly. I named the group process Stressed WOW (We Overloaded with Work). Gestalt therapy is an extremely complex psychotherapy, too complex to describe in this short space. The power of its effectiveness can only be experienced. Most present day therapies have stolen bits and pieces of its praxis. Get the whole again with a holistic, here and now, experiential therapy. I am here for you... I've got your six!

Cindy Jennings

Registered Psychotherapist, BA, RP
Living with addiction in a relationship can feel confusing, exhausting, and isolating. Many partners find themselves trying everything they can to help, while feeling increasingly powerless. My goal is to help you make sense of what’s happening, reconnect with your own voice, and develop more effective ways of responding that support both your well-being and the possibility of real change. For over 30 years, I have had the privilege of helping individuals and couples navigate some of life’s most difficult relationship challenges, including alcohol and substance use concerns and the lasting effects of trauma. As a trained couples and family therapist, I have a particular focus on supporting partners and spouses whose lives have been deeply affected by a loved one’s addiction. As a Registered Psychotherapist, I draw on a wide range of evidence-based approaches to meet the unique needs of each person I work with. My training includes Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Motivational Interviewing, Somatic Therapy, and Exposure Therapy. These approaches allow us to work not only with practical skills for communication and boundaries, but also with the deeper emotional and relational patterns that keep people feeling stuck. I strive to create a thoughtful, respectful space where you feel heard and understood. Together we can navigate the complexities of your situation and help you move toward greater clarity, stability, and confidence in how you move forward.

I hold a space where each person can be fully seen, heard, and met exactly where they are, with empathy, curiosity, and zero judgment. As a trauma-informed psychotherapist, I understand how past experiences can shape the way we relate to ourselves, others, and the world. I integrate EMDR, CBT, DBT, EFT, Solution-Focused, narrative and psychodynamic approaches to support healing not just at the surface, but at a deep, meaningful level. Therapy with me is not about fixing you, because you are not broken. It’s about helping you reconnect with your strengths, untangle painful patterns, and move toward the life you want to live. I work collaboratively, honouring your pace and your story, and tailoring our work to what truly resonates for you. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply looking to understand yourself better, I’m here to walk alongside you with compassion and care.
