My approach is to be client-centered, meaning move at your pace and respect your process. Change is so difficult otherwise you wouldn’t be considering reaching out for help. I do not pressure clients nor do I set the agenda. You decide the direction of the session. You decide your long term goals. My role is to be present with you, to reflect any patterns I hear, and to help you challenge any stories that are repeating and causing you pain. I have been described as authentic, warm and empowering by my clients. I have a slightly goofy personality and can use humor in session. Sometimes we need to laugh at the irony of life. I share my own struggles, when appropriate, because I want you to know that you are not alone. My areas of interest are trauma/PTSD, anxiety, grief/loss, self-esteem and body image. My greatest joy is witnessing a client recover from trauma and feel empowered.  

Our Fort Worth counseling practice is diverse in providing treatment. We offer individual, family, and marriage counseling. Also, our highly trained therapists provide group therapy for divorce, social anxiety, and pornography addiction.

I have 18 years of experience in counseling. I have worked in private practice, hospitals, clinics and schools. I design your treatment plan specifically for you. I am a Certified EMDR trauma therapist. I also offer therapy from a Christian worldview if desired by you.  

I understand that the first step is often the most difficult. I am level 3 trained in the Gottman Method and I help couples find their way back to one another by teaching them a special form of communication that helps deepen their connection to one another.
