Carolyn Murphy, Ph.D.
Psychologist, Counseling Psychology
I have many years of experience helping clients who have experienced physical, emotional, and/or sexual trauma, particularly in their childhood. My approach to therapy is interactive and supportive, with an overall goal of increasing self-awareness and coping skills to help promote the kind of changes that you would like to see. I believe that the quality of the therapist/client relationship is paramount to our work together, and because of this I highly encourage you to choose a therapist that feels like a "good fit" for you. I always start with an initial consultation appointment where I can learn more about your background and reasons for seeking therapy, answer any questions you may have, and then plan together from there. Starting therapy can feel daunting or overwhelming for many people, so it is important that we work at a pace that feels comfortable to you.

Dr. Linda G. Ritchie, Ph.D.
Psychologist, Ph.D., LPC, LMFT, Certified Hypnotherapist
If you’ve experienced trauma, you may feel like your mind and body are still reacting as if the event is happening now. You might have intrusive memories, heightened anxiety, difficulty relaxing, or feel triggered by situations that don’t seem to make sense. Even when you know you’re safe, your system may not fully believe it—leaving you feeling on edge, disconnected, or exhausted.
I help clients process and resolve trauma in a way that feels safe, structured, and effective. Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), we work to understand and shift the thoughts that keep you feeling stuck or overwhelmed. With clinical hypnosis, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT/tapping), and NLP, we gently access and process the emotional patterns stored at a deeper level—helping your mind and body update their response to the present. I also incorporate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help you reconnect with your life, your values, and a sense of forward movement.
What’s often missing isn’t awareness—you may already understand what happened and why it affected you. What’s missing is a way to help your nervous system fully process the experience so it no longer reacts as if you’re still in danger. Without that, the symptoms can persist, even when you’re trying to move on.
The fact that you’re here suggests you’re ready for relief. If you’re willing to approach this in a supportive and effective way, I can help you reduce triggers, feel more grounded, and regain a sense of safety, control, and peace in your life.

Tracey Knows
Licensed Professional Counselor, LPC
Healing from trauma and PTSD requires a compassionate, structured approach that acknowledges both emotional and physiological responses to past experiences. I provide a safe, supportive space to process trauma at a pace that feels right, using evidence-based techniques like trauma-informed cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and somatic awareness. By addressing triggers, regulating the nervous system, and reframing distressing memories, individuals can regain a sense of control, safety, and self-trust. My approach emphasizes resilience, emotional integration, and reclaiming a life not defined by past trauma.

Counselor/Therapist, JD, LMHC, LPC, MA, EMDR Certified
Childhood trauma is a series of experiences that are accumulated over time, and untangling them can feel overwhelming. It doesn’t have to involve physical abuse or be one big recognizable event; repeated instances of emotional neglect and not recieving appropriate support from your caregivers when going through a difficult time can be just as harmful. In fact, complex, developmental trauma (CPTSD) often has emotional neglect at its core. Neglect is what you should have had but didn’t get as a child; what didn’t happen that should have happened. Emotional neglect occurs when parents don’t respond to, acknowledge, or validate their child’s feelings often enough. Repeatedly not being listened to by your parents, being teased for expressing your emotions, or being told “if you don’t stop crying, I will give you something to cry about” all can take a toll. A child growing up in this environment, even if their parents "mean well" and provide for their physical needs, has no room for emotions. This child might have a hard time identifying, understanding and expressing their feelings. These difficulties can last into adulthood. Our childhood traumatic experiences continue to affect how we feel about ourselves when we become adults. Adults who experienced childhood emotional neglect often have life-long negative beliefs about themselves. They often feel lonely, empty, unimportant, different, and unfulfilled in life. This affects how we build relationships with other people, and how we handle conflict and stressful situations. Together, we will work to understand how your past experiences are impacting your current reality. We will chart a path forward, using EMDR, Somatic approaches and others, towards something healthier, more balanced and whole, so that you will feel more comfortable setting necessary boundaries with difficult people and living authentically. - - - “Healing is not about fixing what is broken, but about removing the barriers to what is already whole.” Faisal Ali Sarohi

Allen Wood
Psychologist, Psy.D.
As a psychologist specializing in the full range of trauma, I integrate Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) with Internal Family Systems (IFS) to reinforce a sense of safety, control, and worthiness. I draw upon the principles of Interpersonal Neurobiology to understand how our nervous system is forced to adapt in extreme and overwhelming situations, and how those adaptations can be reinforced or blocked by our relationships, internal conflicts, and past experiences. In our work together, you can expect a high level of collaboration, deeply compassionate understanding, and an abundance of metaphors as we tailor the therapy process to your needs, strengths, and situation.
