Is your mind racing even when you want it to slow down? Are you and your partner stuck in the same fight on repeat, or is your ADHD brain turning daily life into a constant catch-up game? Whatever brought you here, I draw on a wide range of evidence-based approaches so the work fits you, not the other way around.
Client Focus
Session Format: Couple, Individual sessions.
Age Specialty: Adult, Young Adult
Treatment Approach
- Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) Helps people accept difficult thoughts and feelings instead of fighting them, while committing to actions that reflect their values. It blends mindfulness with practical behavior strategies.
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
- Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) An evidence-based treatment for PTSD that teaches clients to reframe unhelpful thoughts about trauma. It helps reduce guilt, shame, and fear.
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Combines CBT with mindfulness to help regulate emotions, tolerate stress, and build stronger relationships. Originally designed for borderline personality disorder, it’s now used more broadly.
- Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) Focuses on strengthening emotional bonds in couples or families. It helps people identify negative cycles and create more secure connections.
- Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) A structured therapy that uses guided eye movements to help process traumatic memories. It is widely recognized for treating PTSD and trauma-related conditions.
- Gottman Method Couples Therapy Based on decades of research, this method gives couples tools to improve communication, manage conflict, and strengthen intimacy.
- Internal Family Systems (IFS) Helps clients heal by working with different ‘parts’ of themselves, like inner critics or wounded children. It fosters harmony within the self.
- Motivational Interviewing (MI) A collaborative, client-centered approach that strengthens motivation for change. It is especially effective for addictions and health behaviors.
- Relational Psychotherapy Emphasizes the healing power of the therapist-client relationship. It uses trust and safety as a foundation for change.
- Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) Focuses on solutions and future goals rather than past problems. It is practical, short-term, and goal-driven.
Approach Description: Every client's path into therapy looks different, so my approach isn't built around a single method, it's shaped around what actually helps you. For individual work, I draw on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy when the work calls for concrete, skills-based tools, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) or Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) when trauma needs a different kind of processing. Motivational Interviewing supports the moments where readiness for change is part of the picture.
For couples and relationship work, I draw on Gottman Method Couples Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Relational Psychotherapy, looking at both the patterns between partners and what's happening internally for each person.
Whatever the method in a given session, the through-line stays the same: collaborative, judgment-free, and paced to you.

You don't need to have things figured out before reaching out. Maybe your mind won't slow down, an old experience still shapes how you move through your day, or you and your partner keep landing in the same argument. Maybe trust and closeness feel harder to hold onto than they used to, your ADHD brain turns daily life into a constant catch-up game, or a recent change has knocked things off balance.
This practice offers individual and couples therapy for anxiety, trauma, ADHD, relationship patterns, communication, trust, and life's bigger transitions — sessions run virtual across Ontario or in person in Hamilton, with easy online booking.
The work is collaborative and judgment-free, drawing on a wide range of approaches so sessions can be shaped around what actually helps you, rather than fitting you into one method.
