Treatment Approach

  • Brainspotting A therapy that uses eye positions to access and process unresolved trauma. It helps release emotional and physical pain held in the body.
  • Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) Focuses on strengthening emotional bonds in couples or families. It helps people identify negative cycles and create more secure connections.
  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) A structured therapy that uses guided eye movements to help process traumatic memories. It is widely recognized for treating PTSD and trauma-related conditions.
  • Gestalt Therapy Encourages awareness of thoughts, feelings, and actions in the present moment. It helps people integrate different parts of themselves for wholeness.
  • Internal Family Systems (IFS) Helps clients heal by working with different ‘parts’ of themselves, like inner critics or wounded children. It fosters harmony within the self.
  • Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) Combines mindfulness practices with CBT to prevent depression relapse. It helps people notice thoughts without judgment and respond more calmly.
  • Narrative Therapy Encourages people to view problems as separate from themselves and reframe their life story. It helps build resilience and self-identity.
  • Person-Centered Therapy (Rogerian) Emphasizes empathy, unconditional positive regard, and authenticity. It provides a safe space for self-discovery and growth.
  • Somatic Therapy Helps clients notice how emotions are stored in the body. It uses breath, movement, and awareness for healing trauma and stress.
Approach Description: My approach is to support you in achieving your goals in therapy by first establishing a trusted relationship where you can freely explore any patterns or experiences that prevent you from achieving those goals. Together with what I’ve learned personally about anxiety and my 20 plus years of professional experience as a therapist and coach, I can offer you the skills and abilities so necessary in facilitating your journey.

I have been working for over 20 years with adults who are suffering from anxiety, overwhelm or burnout, helping them regain their emotional and mental balance. I am a Gestalt-trained professional using talk therapy to build a trusting therapeutic healing environment. I am certified in Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Narrative Therapy, EMDR and trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS). I am also certified as a Martha Beck Life Coach and have extensive training in alternative holistic methods.
