Narberth, Pennsylvania therapist: Michelle Bloom, PsyD, psychologist

Michelle Bloom, PsyD

Psychologist, PsyD, PsyPact
Since the pandemic shook our world and the experience of how we connect with others, I have been practicing remotely. I have found that teletherapy has been as effective as meeting in person in terms of relationship building, creating a safe space, and communicating openly, honestly, and directly. For many clients with busy lives, online therapy reduces the obstacles of travel, traffic, and parking, and provides a simple way of managing billing/payment.

Indianapolis, Indiana therapist: Dr. Ruth Viehoff, psychologist
Feminist

Dr. Ruth Viehoff

Psychologist, PsyD, HSPP
Hello, I'm Dr. Ruth Viehoff, and it's a pleasure to virtually meet you. I specialize in working with anxious overachievers, perfectionists, and adults with ADHD. My clients are often worriers and people who struggle to meet their own exacting standards, even though to an outsider's view, they may appear to have it all together. Often my clients are so concerned and caring towards others, but can struggle to care for themselves and advocate for their own needs. In therapy, we work to introduce self-compassion and shift personal standards that may get in the way of enjoying your life. While I'm physically located in Indianapolis, IN, the majority of my clients see me virtually. Whether you live in Indiana, New York, Massachusetts, or a participating Psypact state, I'd love to connect with you and help you to live a more authentic, embodied, and joyful life. Reach out to me today to book a free consultation call!

Portland, Maine therapist: Eve Palmatier, licensed clinical social worker
Feminist

Eve Palmatier

Licensed Clinical Social Worker, LCSW
I am working through the Headway system to provide telehealth sessions with my clients. I'm "Eve", and I've completed my masters in social work and have my LCSW. I've spent the last few years working with the lgbtq+ community, family and youth (ranging from toddlers to 18 year olds), supporting adults in breaking the cycle of abuse, and helping people better understand and manage their mood disorders (anxiety, depression, bipolar, etc). I have worked in a very rural area where I was one of only a few therapists; which meant that I had to learn how to meet the needs of a diverse set of clients. As a result I can offer support for a wide variety of mental health needs. I try to be adaptable and I'm not afraid to seek out trainings if I feel a client needs more from me. I also make a point to be transparent; so if you're wondering if I have the skillset to support you--please feel free to reach out and I'll let you know the specifics of what I have to offer.

Seattle, Washington therapist: Sumer Statler Aeed, psychologist
Feminist

Sumer Statler Aeed

Psychologist, Licensed Psychologist
Telehealth psychology support for life adjustments, trauma, relationships, and body issues. With technology, you can experience all the benefits of in-person therapy in the comfort and privacy of your own home and have continuity of care when you travel. It can be especially helpful to those who find it challenging to travel to an office for appointments due to location, work, children at home, lifestyle, or other practical or personal reasons. You may be located abroad or be a professional who travels, telehealth allows you to get the support and resources and meet you where your life is at. While there are multiple ways that counseling can take place online, I work primarily with face-to-face video conferencing via Zoom and, on occasion, telephone sessions. I always hold my sessions in a quiet and confidential space, giving you the same confidentiality & professionalism that you experience within an office setting. Most, if not all, of my clients, find virtual sessions to be highly effective and convenient. They allow for the comfort and safety of therapy in your own space, and no travel time is often less vulnerable than needing to go to an office. Research of multiple studies finds that online therapy is equally effective as in-person for most cases. That being said I always advocate for what works best for each individual and it is wonderful to have choices to find your best path whichever that may be. If you are not tech-savvy or anxious about using technology, I'll make it as seamless as possible. I have chosen a platform that is easy to use, and I am happy to assist you with any questions or concerns. A common concern I hear from clients regarding online therapy is finding a quiet and/or confidential space when you’re homebound with children, and/or family members or roommates. Please plan this out in advance so you have quiet and privacy during your session. Since it is so convenient many times people forget to allow themselves a few minutes to "switch hats" and allow themselves a few breaths and get settled into being present and in the head/body space for your session. Headphones or AirPods can often make audio clearer or provide more privacy, but are not necessary. Given that video sessions can be conducted on your smartphone, clients have found it helpful to go to a park, connect from wherever you may be, and/or walk around your neighborhood. Get creative and support yourself. Find a private space that allows you to receive support no matter where you are. You are welcome to have pets join your space if you find that comforting and supporting, and you may see my fellow feline/canine therapists join in one of our sessions on my end.

Lawrence, Kansas therapist: Shannon Gorres, life coach

Shannon Gorres

Life Coach, MDiv, MA
People want fullness of love in life (in work, relationship and purpose), but get stymied by anger, anxiety, or existential dilemmas. Sometimes talking about it isn't enough to transform it. To make significant change, after we name emotions and explore their sensations, we can build a new somatic relationship. By compassionately attending to old habits, then invoking new awareness of how to thrive, we liberate ourselves from past patterns and welcome new joys. If you like contemplative exploration of the roots of your issues, guidance to find your inner ah-ha!, and support for your own wisdom to lead you forward, give me a call. I believe the energy we call Divine (or Source, Consciousness, Godde, All) is within you and around you, ready to speak. You have the answers within you, I'm here to help you find them- and implement them.

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania therapist: Dan Walinsky, psychologist
Feminist

Dan Walinsky

Psychologist, PhD
Online therapy is such a wonderful opportunity to do deep and powerful therapeutic work in a way that is both convenient and secure. I want all my clients, online and in person, to feel the same warmth and compassion as we work through situations and experiences. In much of the same way that we do in person, my online work is based around building a supportive therapeutic relationship. In therapy, potential for healing and growth occurs through through the relationship that we build together. I really enjoy working with clients who are trying to figure out how to manage or explore the difficult feelings – sometimes anxiety and depression - that can emerge during self-exploration, identity development, life changes, working on relationship issues among monogamous and poly/ENM/CNM people, career or work shifts, LGBTQIA+ clients, and so much more. Work with me often involves exploring patterns, looking at the imprints of families of origin, and addressing ways in which those long past experiences come up in the present.
