John Bradshaw, a popular author and leader in this field, referred to me as a “Master Therapist.” The concept of Codependency, though not included in the Diagnostic Manual, points to relationships that have become dysfunctional with one person so enmeshed in being the Caregiver (the Giver) that they enable the other (the Taker) to constantly receive without giving support and care in return. This dynamic can occur in any kind of relationship, not just romantic.
