Domestic abuse and violence are topics that are being talked about more often in mainstream media, but unfortunately there is still a lot of misinformation about these topics out there. There can be more confusion internally about the topic of domestic abuse, about whether what is happening to you is normal or not, about what you should do. Without judgement, I bring a compassionate and clarifying presence to my clients through these difficult situations. We approach safety at whatever pace feels good, and help with transitions (within or outside of a relationship) based on individual preferences and needs.

I see these situations as escalated patterns where a person often gets activated by another person, and reacts with a part of themselves that is an extreme protector. Others experience this a threat and react in a variety of ways they have learned to survive.
