I became a therapist because I know what it's like to need to rebuild — not just once, but repeatedly, across displacement, across countries, across versions of myself I had to leave behind to survive what came next. That experience shapes almost everything about how I practice today.
I don't believe therapy should feel like something done to you. I see it as a genuine collaboration — you bring your lived experience, I bring my clinical training, and we figure things out together. With your permission, I'll sometimes offer a different way of seeing something: this is what I notice — what do you think? If you see it differently, that's completely fine. We explore from there. Nothing gets handed down as fact.
A lot of the people I work with have already done real work elsewhere. They know their diagnoses, they've learned the coping skills, they can explain their patterns fluently — and it still hurts. That's usually exactly where we begin.
Before I became a therapist, I spent over a decade in the legal field and in ADHD coaching, which means I bring a slightly different lens to trauma, family conflict, and neurodivergence than clinicians who've only trained in one world. I also work with two therapy dogs, Emma and Evee, who often make the room feel safer than words alone can.
