Life can feel overwhelming at times, leaving you feeling disconnected, uncertain, or stretched thin. I provide a space where you can slow down and explore what’s happening beneath the surface. Therapy can help uncover the ways we have been coping and the patterns of behaviour that we continue to use. I work with people who are struggling with trauma, including sexual assault, childhood abuse and family estrangement. I also work with clients who are experiencing anxiety, depression, perfectionism, relationship concerns, chronic illness/chronic pain, issues with self-worth and grief/loss. I also hold space for individuals who are going through all the life transitions that we go through from our late teens to 40s. I believe healing happens through connection and safety. Together, we’ll gently explore the beliefs, patterns, and experiences that have shaped you—especially those formed early in life. By understanding their roots, you can begin to reconnect with your authentic self and your body’s wisdom. My approach is warm, collaborative and honest. I am genuinely interested in what is going on for my clients and will wade through the messiness that is life with you. In our work together, I focus on the mind-body connection within a trauma-informed, client-centred space. We’ll process experiences, build insight, and develop practical tools for navigating life’s challenges, supporting meaningful, lasting change. I pull from Adlerian Therapy, Internal Family Systems, EMDR and somatic approaches to understand my client’s world. If this resonates with you, and you’re ready to take the next step toward your growth and well-being, reach out to book a free consultation or initial session. I look forward to connecting with you and supporting you in your healing journey.

Treatment Approach

  • Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) Helps people accept difficult thoughts and feelings instead of fighting them, while committing to actions that reflect their values. It blends mindfulness with practical behavior strategies.
  • Adlerian Therapy Focuses on understanding a person’s sense of belonging and purpose. It helps people overcome feelings of inferiority and create healthier relationships.
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Combines CBT with mindfulness to help regulate emotions, tolerate stress, and build stronger relationships. Originally designed for borderline personality disorder, it’s now used more broadly.
  • Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) Focuses on strengthening emotional bonds in couples or families. It helps people identify negative cycles and create more secure connections.
  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) A structured therapy that uses guided eye movements to help process traumatic memories. It is widely recognized for treating PTSD and trauma-related conditions.
  • Internal Family Systems (IFS) Helps clients heal by working with different ‘parts’ of themselves, like inner critics or wounded children. It fosters harmony within the self.
  • Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) Combines mindfulness practices with CBT to prevent depression relapse. It helps people notice thoughts without judgment and respond more calmly.
  • Person-Centered Therapy (Rogerian) Emphasizes empathy, unconditional positive regard, and authenticity. It provides a safe space for self-discovery and growth.
  • Psychoanalytic Therapy Based on Freud’s theories, it explores unconscious conflicts and past experiences. It seeks to bring hidden issues into awareness.
  • Relational Psychotherapy Emphasizes the healing power of the therapist-client relationship. It uses trust and safety as a foundation for change.
  • Somatic Therapy Helps clients notice how emotions are stored in the body. It uses breath, movement, and awareness for healing trauma and stress.
Approach Description: In my counselling practice in Vancouver, I take a client-centred, trauma-informed approach, with a focus on creating a safe and collaborative therapeutic relationship. Therapy is a space where you can slow down and make room for what is happening internally—emotionally, cognitively, and in the body—at a pace that feels supportive and manageable. I work with individuals navigating a range of concerns, including trauma, anxiety, ADHD, and other life challenges. At the core of my work is the belief that healing happens relationally and through deeper connection with your inner world. I often draw from Internal Family Systems (IFS) to gently explore the different parts of you that carry emotions, protective strategies, and long-standing beliefs. Rather than trying to change or push these parts away, we build relationship with them, creating space for more understanding, choice, and self-compassion. I also integrate ACT, CBT, and mindfulness-based approaches to help us notice patterns in thoughts and beliefs while developing a more flexible, less self-critical way of relating to them. These approaches support grounding in the present moment, especially when worry, overwhelm, or inner criticism feels overwhelming. A key part of the work is also the body and nervous system. I pay close attention to somatic experience in session, as emotions often show up through sensations, tension, activation, or shutdown. Through somatic approaches and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), we can begin to build awareness of these patterns and support greater emotional regulation and safety. When appropriate, EMDR may be used to help process distressing experiences and memories. Above all, I see the therapeutic relationship as the foundation of this work. I aim to meet you with warmth and respect. You are welcome to come as you are—uncertain, overwhelmed, or somewhere in between.
