Dr. Stéphanie Gamache, PhD

Hypnotherapist, PhD
Something in you knows that what you're carrying runs deeper than the presenting problem. Many of the people I work with are thoughtful, capable, and outwardly composed-yet internally they live with anxiety, depression, chronic tension or pain, relentless self-criticism, or a sense that something essential is blocked, muted, or just out of reach. These struggles may surface in mood, in the body, in behavior, or in relationships-including sexuality and intimacy-but they are rarely contained to any one area. They tend to reflect deeper emotional and relational patterns formed early in life, often before language, that continue to shape how a person approaches closeness, vulnerability, agency, pleasure, and self-expression. My work centers on how early experience shapes the capacity for self-regulation, desire, connection, and meaning throughout life-and particularly on how people come to know what they need and want, how they learn to express or inhibit those impulses, and what happens when these capacities become conflicted, constricted, or difficult to sustain. I integrate psychoanalytic hypnotherapy, somatic awareness, and clinical sexology within a reflective, depth-oriented process. Hypnosis functions as a central clinical tool-creating conditions for deeper internal contact with emotional, bodily, and unconscious experience that can be difficult to reach through conversation alone. The aim is not only relief from symptoms, but the development of a more coherent and compassionate relationship with one's inner life: sensations, emotions, impulses, and desires. This work is oriented toward lasting psychological change-and toward greater freedom in how one relates to oneself, one's body, and one's capacity for connection, authenticity, and vitality. It is best suited to those ready to move beyond symptom management toward something more fundamental.

Dr. Erica Gardner-Schuster

Psychologist, PhD
I am a specialized trauma- & attachment-oriented group therapist committed to helping adults heal, grow and cultivate more fulfilling relationships and lives. In my groups, healing happens in the context of a safe therapeutic community of fellow travelers who can relate, help each other feel less alone, and support one another in making the changes needed to get more out of life. I also use a liberation psychology lens to help group members explore the intersection of cultural and identify factors and mental health and feel more confident and empowered in their lives. Group therapy can help you find deeper meaning and connection through the practice of authenticity: "letting go of who we think we're supposed to be and embracing who we are" (Brené Brown). By helping you bring your full authentic self into connection, Group can help you transcend loneliness to find more fulfilling relationships. Group can help you lean into your life with more courage, compassion and vulnerability. Licensed Mental Health Counselor, LMHC, LPC
I specialize in working with individuals (children, teens and adults) and couples, and I am incredibly passionate about the work I do and the people with whom I have the honor to work. My areas of expertise are anxiety / stress, relationship challenges, conflict resolution, intrusive negative thoughts and patterns, loss/grief and depression. Most clients and couples choose to work with me because they are looking for nontraditional therapy that provides them with concrete skills to improve their everyday lives and/or address specific concerns. Holistic and integrative in my approach, I believe that there is no "one size fits all" in therapy. Therefore, I uniquely tailor therapy sessions to meet each client's needs and goals. With extensive experience and training in results oriented and solutions focused cognitive therapies, positive psychology, mindfulness, Buddhist Psychology, Gottman Method for Couples, meditation, and yoga, I offer creative approaches that result in meaningful change and growth. Above all, I am committed to creating therapeutic relationships that are built on trust, respect, transparency, empathy, honesty, and equality, and I always counsel from a nonjudgmental place of understanding and compassion. Michael Montero, Licensed Clinical Social Worker in New York City, NY
Relational

Michael Montero

Licensed Clinical Social Worker, LCSW, LICSW
You may have spent years trying to make sense of who you are, yet still feel like something is missing. Maybe you've wondered where you fit, why it can feel difficult to connect with others, or whether there's room to fully be yourself. Many of the clients I work with are reexamining long-held assumptions about themselves, exploring their relationship patterns, or navigating their evolving sense of their own identity, including culture, sexuality, or neurodivergence. Some have spent so long adapting to expectations that they find it difficult to recognize what feels most authentic to them. If any of this feels familiar, you don't have to keep searching for answers on your own. Whether you're starting therapy for the first time or looking for something different, my goal is to create a space where you can show up as you are — without feeling like you need to over-explain or defend your experiences. Together, we'll better understand what has shaped you and find practical, sustainable ways to move forward with the life you want. If this sounds like what you're looking for, I offer a Free 15-minute Video Consultation so we can talk about what's bringing you to therapy and see if working together feels like a good fit.

Staci Des Rault

Licensed Mental Health Counselor, LMHC. M.Div
One of my favorite things about being a therapist is being able to support people in reclaiming power in their lives. I value the privilege of holding a safe space for people to process their deepest fears, struggles, and pain, but also to bear witness to their celebrations and victories, no matter how big or small. Diagnoses and labels can be helpful flashlights to help us find our way, but ultimately, therapy should be about having a safe place to come where you can be your full authentic self.

Ayden Ferstenberg, Psychologist in New York City, NY
Relational

Ayden Ferstenberg

Psychologist, PsyD
I am a licensed psychologist specializing in individual therapy, couples therapy, and sex therapy. I work best with thoughtful, self-aware individuals and couples who might understand themselves and their patterns, but still find themselves stuck in ways they can’t seem to change. In individual therapy, I help you move beyond insight alone to understand the deeper emotional patterns that keep you repeating what you already know you want to change, while developing practical ways to respond differently. In couples therapy, I help partners move beyond repeatedly having the same arguments or understanding each other’s perspectives without actually feeling more connected, so they can create new ways of relating, communicating, and experiencing intimacy. My approach combines practical tools with deeper experiential work to create meaningful, lasting change. Whether you’re struggling in your relationship, feeling disconnected from yourself or your sexuality, navigating the effects of trauma, or simply tired of knowing what you “should” do without being able to do it, I offer a warm, honest, and deeply engaged space to help you get unstuck.

Alexis Smith, Pre-Licensed Professional in New York City, NY

Alexis Smith

Pre-Licensed Professional, MHC-LP
What makes my practice unique is the way I integrate evidence-based care with a deeply collaborative, person-centered approach. I believe meaningful change happens when clients feel safe enough to be fully themselves, understood without judgment, and supported in a way that honors their autonomy, values, and lived experience. I work from a place of curiosity, respect, and cultural sensitivity. I always meeting clients where they are and moving at a pace that feels safe and sustainable. Rather than applying a one-size-fits-all model, I tailor therapy using various modalities to fit each person’s needs, goals, and emotional experiences. Clients often come to me feeling overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, or unsure how to navigate what they are going through. My role is not to “fix” you, but to help you better understand yourself, your patterns, and your emotional world so that you can begin responding to life with more clarity, confidence, and self-compassion. I also prioritize accessibility and convenience by offering fully virtual therapy, allowing you to access care from the comfort and privacy of your own space. With flexible scheduling, therapy can be integrated into your life in a way that feels realistic and supportive rather than overwhelming. If you are looking for a therapeutic space where you can slow down, feel understood, and begin creating meaningful change that aligns with who you are and what matters to you, I would be honored to work with you.
