Hi, nice to meet you! I'm Maor Bernshtein, and I practice from a collaborative, personalized lens. This means that, when we work together, I see us as a team. I will never try to fit you into a box, this isn't what I think therapy means. Instead, I work to co-create a modality that works for you, with you. You are part of the equation, and the most important one, at that!
Registered Psychotherapist, M.Div., M.Th., RMFT, RP
**Currently Accepting New Clients** Therapy is a safe space to share your story and help you learn more about yourself and the impact others have on our lives. It provides an opportunity to systematically review our experiences to see how our choices and beliefs are shaped and influenced. By exploring our challenges and concerns brought forth through our daily lives we can enrich our story, our love for ourselves, our families, and the world around us. As we explore your story, both past and present, we can access ideas and strengths to create positive change. I work with individuals, couples and families and offer a free 15-minute consultation to ensure we are a good fit.

The Thoughts is a unique innovation of my strong believe -
The root cause of every problem is in our thoughts and the solution to these problems is also hidden in our thoughts (by Satvinder K Khurme, MSW, RSW).
With over 20 years of experience, I am committed in assisting individuals, couples and families to resolve problems that affect their day-to-day lives within the context of their families, communities and workplaces.
Over the last 17 years I've been on a journey to figure out what it means to be emotionally healthy. Despite all my education, which includes three Masters Degrees and a postgrad certificate in comedy writing and performing (I'm not sure why I did that one), I'm the first to say that life has been my greatest teacher... that and my wife. She has been very good at helping me see life from a more diverse perspective and to grow in my understanding of healthy conflict resolution, communication, and forgiving (aka be a better person). My goal is to live in a way that will inspire others to want to be healthier rather than to follow what my dad used to joke saying, "Do as I say; not as I do," which is not what you want in a therapist. My style is a mix of CBT, DBT, EFT, solution focused, and logic therapy with my main goal being to help others figure out what it means to be more emotionally healthy a lot quicker than my journey of 17 years.

It is important that individuals feel they are in a safe space where they can explore new ways of thinking and dealing with challenges they encounter. Therapy involves being free to explore one's way of seeing the world, while also finding healthier and more productive ways of responding to what life throws at us . When an individual is open to it, therapy can also involve learning to live more presently.

I focus on your individual values and helping you discover a meaning-centered life. I believe that therapies and the therapeutic relationship are as unique as the individual, while one style may suit you, it may not suit others. I am mindful of each individual who walks through the door.
