After giving birth everything changes, again! We may be saying goodbye to our childless life or struggling to adapt to a bigger family-life. There can be a lot of grief to process, heightened emotions, shame, guilt and helplessness that often accompany these times. I will provide you a safe and comforting space where you can process any grief and emotions and work with you to recover and start your new family chapter in a fulfilling way.

After my own experience postpartum as a psychotherapist I realized there is an intense need for therapists to better understand and support people through their postpartum journey. If I struggled as someone trained and experienced in psychotherapy what about the new parents who do not have that knowledge? I want to give back and be a support at such a beautiful but very difficult time.

From sleepless nights, to hormones, to a global pandemic, it’s no wonder 1/5 women have a mental health issue while pregnant or postpartum. Unfortunately, most moms do not have "the village" they need to thrive. I can provide you with support during this beautiful, yet challenging, phase of your life. And it’s ok if baby comes too.

Forms of psychotherapy that have been found to be helpful and effective in helping treat perinatal mood disorders include: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, and other forms of supportive psychotherapy. These forms of therapy can help focus on emotions and thought patterns, but also behavioral aspects. These approaches can help increase and rediscover the bond between parent and child, and also between partners.
