I understand that the first step is often the most difficult. Whether you are dealing with feelings of hopelessness, depression, anxiety, a past tragedy, or abuse, know that hope and healing are within reach. You don't have to walk this journey alone. I counsel adults and adolescents who are experiencing depression, anxiety, stress, trauma, life transitions, grief, and loss. Counseling is a safe place where you can learn, grow, and develop the skills needed to navigate the challenges of life.

Kasey Scharnett King

Marriage and Family Therapist, LMFT-S, CST
You may find yourself having the same conversations over and over, feeling misunderstood, or noticing distance where there used to be connection. Maybe communication turns into conflict, or things go quiet and unresolved. Intimacy may feel strained, inconsistent, or absent altogether. You care about the relationship, but something isn’t working—and you’re not sure how to change it. This is a space grounded in intention, honesty, and meaningful connection. You can speak openly here, be challenged with clarity, and begin developing the skills needed to create lasting change in your relationships. We understand that talking about relationship and intimacy concerns can feel vulnerable. You don’t have to navigate that alone. Our role is to meet you with respect, professionalism, and directness—guiding the conversations that are often difficult to have, but necessary for growth. You can expect a calm, steady presence and an approach that balances emotional insight with practical tools. This is not about perfection. It is about taking responsibility, increasing awareness, and learning how to show up differently—for yourself and within your relationships.

Dr. Roslyn Phenix

Pastoral Counselor/Therapist, LCPC, (Licensed Clinical Pastoral Counselor)
FaithWorks Christian and Family Counseling is a great practice because it is founded upon not only natural ways to help clients heal. This practice offers counseling from a Christian perspective. This means during session, I find ways to include God's Word. For example, upon client's comfortablility, I do offer prayer before and after each session. In session, I point client's to ways that they can receive their healing through making sure to include the wisdom of God in their everyday lives. My motto is that self care along with divine care makes for a prosperous life. When we have both of those things going for us, we can't go wrong. My approach is through the Word of God as well as through solution focused therapy. Solution focused therapy means that I am not the only one providing solutions to the problem. My clients have a hand in brainstorming ways they think they can improve their lives. Therefore, my practice is set up to partner with clients in their healing. My clients know we are in this together. My practice is also run on a negotiable fee scale. My fees are only $80 per session, but I cut that in half if the full price is unaffordable. I do not believe in breaking the bank for anyone, and I don't want people to feel that they can't enroll in therapy due to not being able to maintain the cost of it.

Arlington sits between Dallas and Fort Worth at the heart of the DFW Metroplex and serves a large suburban residential population navigating the particular stresses of fast-growing communities — long commutes, family pressure, and the challenges of raising children in a rapidly changing environment. The city has a large Hispanic and growing South Asian population, with increasing demand for culturally affirming and bilingual therapists. The University of Texas at Arlington provides a significant student population, and the city is served by Medical City Arlington and Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital for institutional mental health needs. Many Arlington residents also access therapy across the wider DFW metro, making the city part of a larger regional therapy ecosystem centered on Dallas and Fort Worth.
