Ricardo Garcia

Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Professional Counselor Associate, MS, NCC, LCDC-I
Are you feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure? I'm here to help you explore these feelings, overcome challenges, and create lasting positive change. My expertise includes supporting individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, trauma, and identity exploration. As a Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate (LPC-A) and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor-Intern (LCDC-I), supervised by Maribel Arias, LPC-S, I provide compassionate, evidence-based counseling tailored specifically to you. With experience in clinical research at UT Austin’s Bipolar Disorder Center and hands-on counseling, I blend scientific insight with compassionate care. Using CBT, DBT, neurofeedback, and trauma-informed care, I also incorporate video game therapy, VR, music, and mindfulness to tailor therapy to your needs—combining traditional and innovative methods.

Jason Carlettini

Licensed Professional Counselor, LPC, NCC
Having experienced how mental health can create life-altering implications on people in my family, I have dedicated my life to trying to help as many people and families have the support and resources needed to experience growth, hope, and healing. Often I work with clients who express frustration with past counseling experiences being stale and feeling as though they talked and talked but never experienced real change. Knowing from my training and experience that most people can experience the type of change they desire, I approach counseling as a guide to help those I work with discover what has been holding them back and a tangible plan to experience their goals. Counseling should result in real change and it can be a good and even, at times, a fun process that we look forward to.

Austin, Texas therapist: Norma J. Perez, psychologist
Integrative

Norma J. Perez

Psychologist, PhD
I'm not your ordinary therapist. I have 26 + years of experience as a therapist, plus I have the life experience of a wife of 46 years, mother of two, and grandmother of four. I am the therapist that people come in and say, "Wow, you helped me more in one session than I got out of years with several other therapists." I am fun, direct, empathetic, but direct so that you can have the results you are looking for in a short amount of time. I love what I do, so it's not work to me. I'm very interactive in sessions so there won't be many times where I just sit there and don't provide feedback. I'm the type of therapist that will call you out on your stuff so I can help you meet your goals and have better relationships with others. I love talking with potential clients to see if I'm a good fit. After a phone call with me you will be able to get a sense if I'm a good fit for you. Please give me a call and let's chat!

I view therapy as a collaborative interaction in service of understanding the best forms of quality human relating. My approach to therapy is primarily guided by Coherence Therapy. Coherence Therapy is an approach to treatment that is different from many others in that - instead of focusing on what is "negative" or "wrong" and trying to change or alter it - the purpose is to genuinely understand a person's symptoms; to curiously explore why maintaining certain patterns of thinking and behavior is emotionally necessary, even when a person is feeling stuck because of those patterns. Understanding the symptom leads to identifying the underlying emotional reasons of why we do things and addresses the cause of feeling stuck, not just the symptom, which leads to meaningful and lasting changes.
