I am a relationship specialist. Did you know that the outcome of the relationship does not hinge on whether there was an affair? Affairs can be overcome, but they need to be thoroughly understood, not only from the perspective of the unfaithful partner and their dynamics, but also seeing its effect on the betrayed partner, and any relationship dynamics that weaken the commitment system. Affairs cause betrayal trauma, and that trauma needs to be talked about, faced and healed for healthy reconnection to happen. This can happen and trust can be rebuilt, but please reach out for help soon before more damage happens by not knowing how to handle things. The outside relationship has to end before therapy can begin. If you are ambivalent, I offer "Directional Therapy", and this provides a process where you both seek clarity and confidence in your decision-making, rather than jumping into a commitment of psychotherapy. This is often quite helpful as a first stage.

Grace in the Shadows

Licensed Professional Counselor, PhD, MDiv, MA, NCMHC, ALMHC, VALMHC
I address infidelity with a compassionate and faith-centered approach, recognizing the profound emotional and spiritual impact it has on individuals and relationships. Integrating psychological expertise with Christian principles, I create a safe space for individuals to explore the complexities of infidelity while drawing upon biblical teachings on forgiveness, redemption, and restoration. The therapeutic process involves addressing the emotional wounds caused by betrayal, encouraging honest communication, and exploring the possibility of rebuilding trust through faith-based principles. I incorporate prayer, scriptural reflection, and discussions on repentance and grace to guide individuals and couples through the healing journey. By integrating Christian values into the therapeutic process, the counselor aims to support individuals in finding forgiveness, navigating the path towards reconciliation, and fostering a renewed commitment to their faith within the context of addressing infidelity.

Psychologist, Licensed Psychologist, Nationally Registered Health Service Provider
I work with couples where infidelity has been an issue, helping them find a path to forgiveness and navigate the emotional aftereffects. I also work with individuals who want to sort out the emotional impact of infidelity. For individuals, even when forgiveness is not possible, therapy can help people overcome and understand the feelings it produces in order to emerge stronger.
