Forgiveness
Adima Hawkes
Counsellor/Therapist, Psychotherapist, Spiritual Teacher, Gene Keys Guide, Trainer Tibetan Acupressure & Iridology
Forgiveness, when it's real, is a tender issue, touching very deeply . Forgiving others is a little easier usually than forgiving oneself. I work with both.
It is a matter of the heart. It begins in the heart. Only the heart knows how to forgive the 'unforgivable'. The challenge is to open to this level of vulnerability . Then this opening becomes your strength. Only then forgiveness comes down into the body and is felt. When it is just conceptional, mainly from the mind, it won't free you or help the other person. I am inspired by the Ho'Oponopono practice, and the wisdom of Tibetan Pulsing and the Gene Keys.

To forgive, we need to process and come to terms with what has happened. But not always is it essential to forgive to move on.

Heather Macfarlane
Registered Psychotherapist, Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist
Holding on to hurt and anger is a drain on you, not the person who upset you. Being unable to forgive, maintains a blockage within you for moving forward and this must be cleared to have any chance of a happier future.

I work with those wishing to explore forgiveness whether this is in regards to another or the self. This is often not a binary state to be achieved, but a process that is ever evolving and changing.
