Treatment Approach

  • Existential / Humanistic Therapy Encourages people to explore meaning, freedom, and authenticity in their lives. It focuses on personal growth and living in alignment with one’s values.
  • Gestalt Therapy Encourages awareness of thoughts, feelings, and actions in the present moment. It helps people integrate different parts of themselves for wholeness.
  • Person-Centered Therapy (Rogerian) Emphasizes empathy, unconditional positive regard, and authenticity. It provides a safe space for self-discovery and growth.
  • Psychodynamic Therapy Explores unconscious thoughts and patterns that influence current behavior. It builds insight into how the past impacts the present.
Approach Description: My approach to therapy is rooted in Gestalt therapy, an embodied and relational approach that brings attention to the present moment — your thoughts, feelings, body sensations, and how you relate to yourself, others, and the world. Relational therapy means that we meet in our shared humanity. I'm not here to analyze you or position myself as the expert in your experience. Instead, I aim to meet you fully and genuinely, just as you are, in whatever arises in the moment. I believe that many of our struggles are shaped in relationship, and that healing also happens through relationship. Relational therapy is about creating a space where you can experience being understood and responded to in a way that may be missing in your life. To support our container, I integrate approaches from developmental psychology, attachment theory, mindfulness, embodiment practices, and other client-centered modalities. I practice in a non-hierarchical, non-pathologizing, and trauma-informed way, and meet clients with warmth and humility.

I tend to work with people who have often felt unseen or unsupported in their lives, those who feel like they've shaped themselves to take care of others, sometimes losing touch with their own needs and sense of self in the process. I support clients in coming back to themselves, helping them reconnect with their own agency, voice, and inner guidance. Together, we explore how you relate to yourself, to others, and to the world around you, creating space to feel grounded, aware, and able to show up as who you truly are. Ensuring that we mutually feel we're the right fit to work together is an important part of the process of beginning therapy.
