I am a licensed psychologist specializing in individual therapy, couples therapy, and sex therapy. I work best with thoughtful, self-aware individuals and couples who might understand themselves and their patterns, but still find themselves stuck in ways they can’t seem to change. In individual therapy, I help you move beyond insight alone to understand the deeper emotional patterns that keep you repeating what you already know you want to change, while developing practical ways to respond differently. In couples therapy, I help partners move beyond repeatedly having the same arguments or understanding each other’s perspectives without actually feeling more connected, so they can create new ways of relating, communicating, and experiencing intimacy. My approach combines practical tools with deeper experiential work to create meaningful, lasting change. Whether you’re struggling in your relationship, feeling disconnected from yourself or your sexuality, navigating the effects of trauma, or simply tired of knowing what you “should” do without being able to do it, I offer a warm, honest, and deeply engaged space to help you get unstuck.

Treatment Approach
- Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) Helps people accept difficult thoughts and feelings instead of fighting them, while committing to actions that reflect their values. It blends mindfulness with practical behavior strategies.
- Eclectic Therapy Draws from different therapeutic methods based on what fits each client best. It is flexible and personalized rather than following one single model.
- Experiential Therapy Involves hands-on activities to bring emotions into the present moment. It helps clients process feelings more deeply than through conversation alone.
- Gestalt Therapy Encourages awareness of thoughts, feelings, and actions in the present moment. It helps people integrate different parts of themselves for wholeness.
- Gottman Method Couples Therapy Based on decades of research, this method gives couples tools to improve communication, manage conflict, and strengthen intimacy.
- Integrative Therapy Combines techniques from multiple approaches into a customized plan. It adapts to each client’s unique situation and needs.
- Internal Family Systems (IFS) Helps clients heal by working with different ‘parts’ of themselves, like inner critics or wounded children. It fosters harmony within the self.
- Psychodynamic Therapy Explores unconscious thoughts and patterns that influence current behavior. It builds insight into how the past impacts the present.
- Relational Psychotherapy Emphasizes the healing power of the therapist-client relationship. It uses trust and safety as a foundation for change.
- Somatic Therapy Helps clients notice how emotions are stored in the body. It uses breath, movement, and awareness for healing trauma and stress.
Approach Description: My approach draws on neuroscience and contemporary research on how lasting emotional change occurs. I combine practical, evidence-informed strategies with experiential therapy to help you not only manage difficult patterns, but understand and shift the deeper learning that keeps them in place. Rather than simply putting a “band-aid” over symptoms or relying on willpower to counteract old patterns, we work toward creating new experiences that can reshape how you respond, relate, and feel in meaningful ways. The goal is change that feels less like constantly fighting against yourself and more like something that begins to shift from the inside out.

I’m a licensed psychologist specializing in couples therapy, sex therapy, and individual therapy, including trauma therapy. I work with thoughtful, self-aware individuals and couples who may have a strong understanding of themselves and their relationships, yet continue to feel stuck in patterns they struggle to change. Many of my clients are high achievers, people-pleasers, or intellectualizers who are accustomed to thinking their way through problems. They may know exactly what they “should” do, have read the books, developed insight into where their patterns come from, and still find themselves repeating the same behaviors, relationship dynamics, or emotional responses. In therapy, I help guide you to go beyond that. Together, we explore the deeper emotional and relational patterns that keep these difficulties in place while also developing practical, actionable skills that help you respond differently in your everyday life.
In individual therapy, I work with concerns including trauma, perfectionism, people-pleasing, anxiety, relationship difficulties, life transitions, self-criticism, and feeling disconnected from yourself or your needs. The goal is not simply to understand your patterns, but to create new experiences of yourself and your relationships that make lasting change possible.
In couples therapy, I help partners who feel caught in recurring conflict, disconnection, resentment, or difficulties with communication and intimacy. Rather than focusing only on learning better communication techniques, we work to understand the underlying emotional patterns between you and develop new ways of responding to one another.
I’m also a trained sex therapist, specializing in helping individuals and couples who feel disconnected from their erotic selves or are struggling with mismatched desire. Sex can become a place of pressure, rejection, shame, avoidance, or disconnection. I help clients explore what may be getting in the way of desire, pleasure, intimacy, and sexual connection, including relationship dynamics, body image, trauma, shame, difficulty accessing their own needs, and the ways they may have learned to disconnect from themselves. Our work is about more than solving a sexual problem; it is about helping you reconnect with your own sexuality, vitality, and capacity for pleasure while creating a sexual relationship that feels authentic, mutual, safe, and alive.
My approach is integrative, experiential, relational, and trauma-informed. I believe effective therapy requires both understanding and experience: insight can help us recognize a pattern, while deeper experiential work can help create the conditions for responding to life differently. I therefore combine evidence-informed therapeutic approaches with practical interventions tailored to your individual needs and goals.
I also have specialized training in psycho-oncology and geropsychology and have experience working with the psychological and relational challenges that can accompany cancer, caregiving, aging, and other significant life transitions.
If you are tired of understanding what is happening but feeling unable to change it, or if you and your partner keep having the same conversation without getting somewhere new, therapy can offer an opportunity to move beyond the familiar pattern and begin experiencing something different.
