I decided to become a psychoanalyst after recognizing that something was often missing in clinical mental health services offered to those suffering and looking for help. So I found a psychoanalyst to speak with about what was going on in my life and began my own personal journey. Psychoanalysis is unique in that, to be a psychoanalyst, one must spend time in analysis and bear the experience of encountering one’s own lack. Something of the painful questioning that brings a person to the consulting room, must also be part of the analyst’s story. I am a Lacanian psychoanalyst and treat adults and adolescents. My practice offers a space where you can speak openly, without judgement. In psychoanalysis saying whatever comes to mind is acceptable and encouraged, and forms the basis of the work. I welcome your call; we can schedule a time to talk and determine if my practice is a good fit for your needs. I am currently available for remote sessions in Colorado state and in-person consultations in downtown Colorado Springs, located above Poor Richard’s Bookstore.
