The term "Depression" isn't just a medical term having to do with lack of adequate Seratonin in the brain. Did you know that there are actually more Seratonin receptors in our digestive tract than in our brains? Depression means that someone's nervous system got overloaded from being in "survival mode" for so long that it sort of shuts down or at least slows down. Depression really means "depleted and defeated" and doesn't just happen overnight. Treating Depression without medication is possible in mild to moderate cases and I strongly encourage clients to try non-medication methods first. Medications are not without risk or side effects so unless a person is suicidal, I discourage use of medication. Other natural methods to treat Depression can include acupuncture (I can provide a referral), natural supplements that don't cause harm, and lifestyle changes such as increasing exercise, yoga, improving diet, getting adequate quality sleep, drinking more water, and exploring some kind of spiritual path or community. Depression symptoms can take a while to improve and will require diligent effort on the part of the client but it really can improve!

Dr. Stéphanie Gamache, PhD
Hypnotherapist, PhD
Depression is often an expression of emotional loss, internal conflict, and blocked vitality rather than a problem to be treated only at the level of symptoms. My work integrates psychoanalytic exploration, somatic awareness, and hypnosis to understand how sadness, withdrawal, and numbness are shaped by early relational experience and lived in the body. Together, we work toward restoring emotional movement, self-understanding, and a renewed capacity for connection and aliveness.

Depression isn't just sadness—it's the heaviness that makes getting out of bed feel impossible, the numbness that disconnects you from things you used to enjoy, and the voice that tells you nothing will ever change. We approach depression through psychodynamic, somatic, and cognitive frameworks, helping you understand what's underneath the fog while building momentum toward action. Therapy for depression here isn't about toxic positivity or pushing through—it's about reconnecting with yourself, your life, and your sense of what's possible.

Psychologist, Licensed Psychologist
Depression can feel like walking through mud—everything takes more effort, joy feels out of reach, and even small tasks can seem overwhelming. Whether you're feeling numb, hopeless, exhausted, or just not like yourself, you’re not alone—and you don’t have to go through it without support.
With nearly 20 years of experience as a licensed psychologist, I help people navigate depression using evidence-based approaches like Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and mindfulness-based strategies, along with Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed work, and compassion-focused therapy. We’ll work together to gently uncover what’s underneath the heaviness, and find ways to reconnect you with purpose, meaning, and a sense of possibility.
You don’t have to pretend you’re fine here. I offer a warm, nonjudgmental space where your experience is honored, your story matters, and even small wins are worth celebrating. And yes, we might even find a few moments to laugh—because even in dark times, light still gets in.
If you're tired of feeling stuck, let’s talk. There’s a way forward, and I’d be honored to help you find it.

I help individuals meet depression with understanding rather than isolation, relieve distress, and rebuild a more livable rhythm. The work is depth-informed and collaborative: we study what is happening above and beneath the surface and turn that clarity into workable steps. The aim is durable change—less heaviness, more energy and choice, and the capacity to reengage with what matters.

Feeling down or sad from time to time can be normal, however when you feel numb, drained, hopeless, and have difficulty finding enjoyment in life, that can indicate a more serious problem. Depression can interfere with your ability to think, eat, work, play, and sleep. It can feel draining and isolating, but please know that YOU ARE NOT ALONE! You don't have to deal with depression alone. My role is to help you understand what you are experiencing and find your inner strengths to cope with your symptoms and return to normal functioning. Let's set a time to consult about how I can support you on your journey to better mental health.

Dr. Berkeley Antonioli
Licensed Clinical Social Worker, PhD, LCSW, LCSW-C, MEd
The majority of my training and clinical work has been focused on helping adults recover from early traumatic experiences. Often, the traumas my clients are working through is rooted in early relational and/or sexual experiences that leave a lasting impact on their formative developmental years and beyond. I have found that these early experiences often impact how clients have learned to operate and survive in relationships. Many have learned to defer to others, feeling like a burden if they consider and try to communicate their needs or limits. These folks have learned to betray themselves in order to preserve their attachments, often leading to resentment, burnout and deep depression.
