Hi, I'm Jenn. From a variety of my own experiences & challenges over the years, I've learned firsthand how stressful & overwhelming life can be - especially during forced or unexpected changes such as moving, starting college, getting a promotion, or facing an unexpected loss of any kind. If you find yourself feeling stuck, burnt-out, frequently questioning yourself with imposter syndrome, & striving for perfection in ways that impact your school/work, relationships, & everyday realities: I want you to know you are capable of finding relief in ways beyond what you might initially believe. My personalized, trauma-informed approaches have supported numerous individuals in leading more fulfilling, balanced lives. My online practice allows you the convenience of meeting from the comfort of your home when time is short. Please reach out if you need times of the day/week other than what you see as available for us to meet together. For self-pay clients, I partner with Mentaya to assist you in claiming out-of-network benefits as applicable. Reach out with any questions or to have a free consult call together. I look forward to connecting with you!

Seattle, Washington therapist: Sumer Statler Aeed, psychologist
Somatic

Sumer Statler Aeed

Psychologist, Licensed Psychologist
Telehealth psychology support for life adjustments, trauma, relationships, and body issues. With technology, you can experience all the benefits of in-person therapy in the comfort and privacy of your own home and have continuity of care when you travel. It can be especially helpful to those who find it challenging to travel to an office for appointments due to location, work, children at home, lifestyle, or other practical or personal reasons. You may be located abroad or be a professional who travels, telehealth allows you to get the support and resources and meet you where your life is at. While there are multiple ways that counseling can take place online, I work primarily with face-to-face video conferencing via Zoom and, on occasion, telephone sessions. I always hold my sessions in a quiet and confidential space, giving you the same confidentiality & professionalism that you experience within an office setting. Most, if not all, of my clients, find virtual sessions to be highly effective and convenient. They allow for the comfort and safety of therapy in your own space, and no travel time is often less vulnerable than needing to go to an office. Research of multiple studies finds that online therapy is equally effective as in-person for most cases. That being said I always advocate for what works best for each individual and it is wonderful to have choices to find your best path whichever that may be. If you are not tech-savvy or anxious about using technology, I'll make it as seamless as possible. I have chosen a platform that is easy to use, and I am happy to assist you with any questions or concerns. A common concern I hear from clients regarding online therapy is finding a quiet and/or confidential space when you’re homebound with children, and/or family members or roommates. Please plan this out in advance so you have quiet and privacy during your session. Since it is so convenient many times people forget to allow themselves a few minutes to "switch hats" and allow themselves a few breaths and get settled into being present and in the head/body space for your session. Headphones or AirPods can often make audio clearer or provide more privacy, but are not necessary. Given that video sessions can be conducted on your smartphone, clients have found it helpful to go to a park, connect from wherever you may be, and/or walk around your neighborhood. Get creative and support yourself. Find a private space that allows you to receive support no matter where you are. You are welcome to have pets join your space if you find that comforting and supporting, and you may see my fellow feline/canine therapists join in one of our sessions on my end.

Atlanta, Georgia therapist: Andrea Elkon, psychologist
Somatic

Andrea Elkon

Psychologist, Ph.D.
Asking for help is challenging enough, and I believe that the online format removes some of the other stressors normally associated with beginning therapy. One of the most important "ingredients" for success in therapy is feeling comfortable in the therapy setting. With online therapy, clients enjoy the convenience of meeting with me from wherever they feel most comfortable. Online therapy also eliminates the need for a commute to an office or sitting in a waiting area. With some of the stress eliminated, we can really get to work!

Wilmington, Delaware therapist: Jess Williams, licensed clinical social worker

Licensed Clinical Social Worker, MSS, LCSW
When you're living your life just a little bit differently from other people, it can feel like the world just wasn't made for you - and it sucks. Whether it's how or who you love, how your brain works, the way you seem to worry about absolutely everything, or the decisions you make about what you want your life to look like, it can feel super isolating and discouraging to not feel seen and understood by those around you. When I work with clients, that is my main goal - to help them feel seen, understood, and accepted for who they are. Sure, we will work on your anxiety, I'll give you new techniques to try and different ways to think about the world around you, and we'll explore practical advice for things like workplace stress, relationship issues, and family drama, but I also want to help you like YOU more than you ever have before. It might sound cliche (in fact, I know it does), but developing the ability to back yourself, accept your emotions without judgement, and make decisions that feel truly right to you can make all the difference in the world. AND with online therapy, we can do all of this from the comfort of your own home - no traffic, finding a parking spot, or worrying about being on time! I work with clients virtually throughout Delaware, Pennsylvania, and Maryland. Starting therapy can be anxiety-provoking at times, which is why I offer free consultations to all prospective clients. You can book a free 20 minute phone call directly on my website, and I'll reach out to you right away to confirm. We can chat about what you're looking for support with AND make sure everything feels like a good fit before scheduling an intake. I can't wait to connect with you!

Whether you're managing a demanding schedule, living in an area without nearby providers, or simply prefer the convenience of teletherapy, our secure video sessions allow you to engage in meaningful therapeutic work from wherever you are. You understand yourself inside out. But the same patterns keep looping. Self-help and talk therapy may have given you skills. Lawrence, Kansas therapist: Shannon Gorres, life coach
Somatic

Shannon Gorres

Life Coach, MDiv, MA
People want fullness of love in life (in work, relationship and purpose), but get stymied by anger, anxiety, or existential dilemmas. Sometimes talking about it isn't enough to transform it. To make significant change, after we name emotions and explore their sensations, we can build a new somatic relationship. By compassionately attending to old habits, then invoking new awareness of how to thrive, we liberate ourselves from past patterns and welcome new joys. If you like contemplative exploration of the roots of your issues, guidance to find your inner ah-ha!, and support for your own wisdom to lead you forward, give me a call. I believe the energy we call Divine (or Source, Consciousness, Godde, All) is within you and around you, ready to speak. You have the answers within you, I'm here to help you find them- and implement them.
