Men's mental health issues continue to be ignored and stigmatized in our society. Men are told to be resilient and self-reliant and not to seek help or ask questions. Modern society still expects men to be providers and protectors, to look or act a certain way, and this unspoken pressure can be a cause of shame and anxiety.
Through therapy, we can also explore emotions such as anger and sadness in a safe place. This is a safe setting to open up about shame, addiction, relationship problems, sexual problems, body image issues, or crises of meaning. We will explore what your masculinity means to you and help you to integrate it into your life in a healthy way.

Counsellor/Therapist, Registered Therapeutic Counsellor, RTC, Couple's Counsellor, Mens' Counsellor
For generations, men in our culture have had "feeling" and vulnerability banished from their beings. We have wrongly believed that "to be a man" is to be, like our superheroes, invincible. The cost has been a culture of men who have lost the knowing of being in touch with their feelings and resolving them in a healthy way. Not only are our men "hurting" and frustrated, but they are at a loss as how to relate to others, men and woman, sons and daughters, fathers and mothers. As a mature man, father, and husband who's spent years learning how to liberate his own repressed feelings and become more relational with myself and others, I am inclined to join other men on this journey. I have been involved with men's groups for more than 15 years, learning a great deal about what commonly ails and heals men through these group experiences. That said, learning to be more fully a man, I am comfortable sitting with women too.
