I have experience working with children, teens, adults, and family (i.e. parents, spouses/partners, etc.) who have been diagnosed with ADHD. Depending on your specific challenges, we will discover what accommodations may be helpful in your life and create a plan to help you best reach your goals.
I work with clients with an ADHD diagnosis, using didactic approaches derived from the science of productivity. I also support the use of psychotropic medications as appropriate. While ADHD may be biological in etiology, the psychological ramifications of living with ADHD can be devastating; feeling like a failure from early educational experiences, clients benefit from the support psychotherapy offers.
From ages 8 and up, I work with patients struggling with attention issues based on developmental level and age. A large part of this work is educating and reframing what can often be felt as a deficit (hint: it's not). Rather, we focus on the unique strengths and abilities of being able to have vast and sometimes laser-like focus while also addressing current issues coming up with friends, family, significant others and coworkers. When necessary, we also discuss treatment options such as medication, skills training and organizational support.

I help individuals better understand brain functioning while destigmatizing many of the characteristics typically associated with ADHD. Together, we'll focus on your strengths while working to improve executive functioning.
We provide psychotherapy to address issues of focus, concentration, and self-regulation difficulties and are expert on providing psychological testing to assess symptoms of ADHD for educational purposes.

Attention Deficit Disorder can make everyday life far more difficult than it needs to be. We'll work to find strategies that are most effective and easy to use in your life.
Navigating an ADHD brain can feel like walking through a cluttered room. While moving from one thought to the next you may bump into clutter along the way. Although you may be able to maneuver around some of them, an overwhelming amount of clutter can bring you to a halt. This is how I used to describe my own ADHD, until I discovered various tricks, tools, and creative hacks that I can now share with you.
When working with clients struggling with ADHD, I approach from a strengths-based perspective, delving into the pressures they face. Together, we re-frame experiences within an empowering narrative, allowing clients to cultivate a sense of agency as they navigate life where the impact of ADHD is diminished.
As a License Marriage and Family Therapist I have developed the skills to provide support through different evidence based therapeutic theories. The following are areas that I specialize in: Families, children, parenting, co-parenting, trauma, anxiety, depression, child/adult behavior modification, LGBT, victims of abuse, and other challenging areas and mental health conditions.
