Brea, California therapist: Jasmine Wilson, licensed clinical social worker
Eclectic

Jasmine Wilson

Licensed Clinical Social Worker, LCSW, SEP
Hi, I’m Jasmine. Maybe you’ve become so good at holding everything together that you hardly notice how much you’re carrying anymore. You may be someone others experience as dependable, thoughtful, and capable, while underneath, you’re managing anxiety, overwhelm, self-doubt, or the pressure of trying to keep everything going. You might find yourself overthinking decisions, putting pressure on yourself to get things right, worrying about disappointing people, or realizing that you’re much better at recognizing what everyone else needs than knowing what you need yourself. Even when you understand some of these patterns, it can be difficult to step outside of them when they’ve become such familiar ways of moving through the world. I work with adults who are used to carrying a lot and are beginning to recognize that they don’t want to keep doing it in the same way. My approach is warm, collaborative, somatic, and depth-oriented, which means we’ll make space for what’s happening in your life while also getting curious about the patterns underneath it and what you notice in your body, emotions, and relationships. Together, we can slow things down enough for you to become more familiar with what you feel, need, and want, while building greater trust in yourself and more choice in how you respond when familiar patterns show up.

Empowered Wellbeing, Decolonizing Intersectional and Integrative Complex Trauma & Dissociation Recovery Support

Life Coach, view my credentials online at: www.recoveringfromwithin.com/credentialslongform
We started our practice supporting Adult Survivors of Childhood Sexual Abuse to recover from the effects of their abuse and complex grief, and continue to center that care. Our practice includes support for trauma, complex trauma, dissociation, associated and co-occurring health and chronic health needs, anxiety, depression, addiction, personality disorders. We also offer integrative mental health care for mold toxin and some other environmental toxin exposure, and some TBI and PCS symptoms, as well as support for folks with chronic health related mental health needs that intersect with the above traumas. We offer intersectional care that is decolonizing, supports those impacted by systemic abuse, and supports affirming neurodiversity. We integrate TIST-- Trauma Informed Stabilization Therapy, DBR -- Deep Brain Reorienting to recover from Shock, IFS-- Internal Family Systems Work, PVT-- Polyvagal Theory, AT -- Attachment Theory, Nonviolent Communication, Inner Child Work, IPNB -- Interpersonal Neurobiology, Bonnie Badenoch's IPNB and dyad work, Memory Reconsolidation, Coherence/Existential Level of Care, BrainSpotting, DARE Attachment Model, CranioSacral (for mind, gut, and acute trauma recovery), Mediation/Relational/Partners/Couples Support, Functional Mental Health Care via Psychiatry Redefined Training and BioIndividual Nutrition, Integrative and CAM Health Care (herbalism, homeopathy, remote Traditional Chinese Medicine and other CAM Care), Student-Directed Learning Pedagogies (from Education), compassionate Parenting and inner Re-parenting, ... and a strong Intersectional and Social Justice Framework to support clients to recover from the debilitating effects of traumas and myriad effects of traumas, facilitate clients being centered in their own sense of self, develop healthier boundaries, cultivate self awareness (mindfulness), understand and parse power structures for healthy discernment ... and move towards more fulfilling self actualization that is compassionate, inclusive and also eco-relationally congruent. We are a POC/GM Practice with a decolonizing orientation and Intersectional framework. Red lines are red lines -- we don't support abuses of power systemically and culturally. We are supportive of indigenous peoples and other systemically marginalized peoples, and their rights to safety, parity, sovereignty and dignity. If you are interested in support, we'd love to work with you! Our focus has been on supporting adult survivors of childhood sexual trauma and torture, folks recovering from narcissistic trauma, folks recovering from oppressive hegemonic systemic trauma and/or folks recovering from these traumas along with recovering from toxic mold exposure. We do work with individuals with other needs who are active and engaged bystanders and activists advocating alongside the most systemically oppressed for systemic change for the greater good of the whole global community, prioritizing care for the most marginalized. We also support those who are actively stopping and recovering from committing moral injury and boundary transgressions and willingly doing the work to repair and become bystanders with their privilege rather than violent enactors. This is a no mass media and state propaganda zone. If you are interested in support, please ask! We'd love to work with you. Los Angeles, California therapist: Susan Stone, marriage and family therapist
Eclectic

Susan Stone

Marriage and Family Therapist, M.A., Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
I work with adults from every walk of life and in diverse circumstances. What nearly all have in common is that they tell me that things don’t feel manageable anymore. Life has gotten out of hand, and feelings like anxiety, self-doubt, depression, and disappointment seem to be taking over – if they haven’t already. Some might think they are “going crazy!” Others feel selfish because they crave self-care and a break from never being enough. My job (and privilege) is to come alongside you to provide support, feedback, and help you better understand things and make plans to improve things. Sometimes, I will validate feelings that you’ve discounted or point out challenges you’ve grown so accustomed to that you brush them aside, even though they are part of what trips you up. Together, we’ll gain perspectives and insights about how to make things better. In session, we will review the week for clues about what to focus on. We will talk about how things went and how they could have turned out better. I’ll ask many questions, listen a lot, and work with you to identify options for improving life. You’ll tear up sometimes, but you’ll be surprised how often we chuckle.

Los Angeles, California therapist: Laura Anderson LPCC, Eff Shame Therapy, licensed professional counselor
Eclectic

Laura Anderson LPCC, Eff Shame Therapy

Licensed Professional Counselor, LPCC
I started Eff Shame Therapy because I believe shame is at the root of most of what brings people to therapy — and because I think it deserves to be named directly rather than tiptoed around. We are living in a world that generates shame faster than most of us can process it, and many of us are carrying wounds from abuse, trauma, and systemic harm that have never had a real place to land and heal. I work with adults who are ready to stop managing their pain and start actually moving through it. My approach is trauma-informed, shame-free, and genuinely collaborative — I bring some of the most effective healing tools available including EMDR, Flash Technique, and ketamine-assisted EMDR, and I meet you exactly where you are. This work matters to me. Not as a concept but in the room, session by session, with real people who deserve more than survival.
