Wonderful Mess
Counsellor/Therapist, Master of Social Work, Diploma of Counselling
Stress is another of these words I don't like using. Nowadays, everyone is always stressed - so much that I think we no longer define ourselves as "not stressed". The reality is that our society makes us stressed, each and every day, because whatever we do is never good enough. Stress is at work, at home, in our relationships. We feel stressed because we have to maintain friendships while working full time, parenting, exercising, cooking nutritious food, getting enough sleep and looking after our mental health.
I think this sentence I have just written tells exactly why this is a topic I help clients with. Because it never stops until we learn to really look after ourselves and our needs.
