Anger turned inward, often results in depression. Yes there are bio chemical causes for depression, but in my 25 year plus experience, depression is almost never simply a brain chemistry issue. And as a holistic psychotherapist, I find that people who have mild to medium depression can often overcome it with a combination of talk therapy, unpacking family of origin messaging, unpacking low self value as well as inner exploring of believes.. All this, in addition to bringing in natural amino acid supplementation. This combination has been immensely effective in neutralizing the beast that depression can be. Note: If a client has suicidal ideation, a person does need to have a medical person on their team to navigate possible allopathic medication to create the very important brain balance they need to be able to unpack some difficult therapeutic content.
