In my experience Suicidal thoughts are the back door that we keep open "just in case". Many of the individuals that I have supported do not actually have a desire to die, they desire to be less depressed, less anxious, in less pain. Of course! You deserve to have more peace in your life. Let's ease the pain together.

Suicidal Thoughts are more common than one would think. At times we may not want to live with our current situations or states but this does not mean we want to die. Finding ways and reasons to live is crucial to ensure suicidal thoughts do not become action.

Suicidal thoughts can be scary, frustrating, and annoying, and can have a person feeling many different ways. Why our suicidal thoughts are occurring, whether they are intrusive or not, and how we understand and interact with them will impact treatment massively. when working with clients I aim to create a treatment protocol that is tailored to, and informed by, a client.

Suicide is an unfortunate reality that many people have some sort of connection with either because they have faced suicidal thoughts, or they know someone who committed suicide. People with suicidal thoughts (the idea of killing themselves) typically feel like suicide is the only choice. Those people might feel desperation, an overwhelming, constant emotional pain, and a belief that their life has no worth. It is a hard reality to face as suicidal ideation can be caused by a multitude of factors ranging from genetic to environmental factors. Ultimately, suicide claims that more lives than homicide and war every year.
