Overwhelmed, anxious and oh so tired? How many hours have you spent doing what you don't want to be doing? Or spinning in anxiety and fear about all the unknowns? Lost in the hustle of everyday life - fighting to get it all done, and caring for everyone else, all while trying to fix your feelings and free yourself from the voice in your head telling you you aren't good enough. It's exhausting! Climb out of the fog of the have-to or should-dos, and everyone else's needs. No more gripping, no more pushing, no more resisting.
It's time to love yourself boldly. To feel grounded and connected to your body and your emotions. Through counseling and nutrition, I help women to shift their relationship with themselves and food. To become allies as you are guided into alignment, so you can live from a place of ease, confidence, balance, and trust in yourself.
As a Mom to two little souls I know how it feels to know there’s another way but feel too busy and wrapped up in life to actually find it. Having someone on your side who understands how hard it is to let go of control when it’s all you’ve ever known, and who knows what it’s like to want to be excellent at everything you do, while managing a job, friendships, family relationships, exercise, birthdays, eating well and keeping your house-plants alive - means everything. If you have landed here you are taking steps to love yourself boldly and find what feels good. Yay!

Treatment Approach
- Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) Helps people accept difficult thoughts and feelings instead of fighting them, while committing to actions that reflect their values. It blends mindfulness with practical behavior strategies.
- Biopsychosocial Therapy Takes into account biological, psychological, and social factors in understanding mental health. It looks at the whole person, not just symptoms.
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
- Dance / Movement Therapy Uses movement and body awareness to express emotions and improve mental health. It can increase confidence, reduce stress, and support healing.
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Combines CBT with mindfulness to help regulate emotions, tolerate stress, and build stronger relationships. Originally designed for borderline personality disorder, it’s now used more broadly.
- Internal Family Systems (IFS) Helps clients heal by working with different ‘parts’ of themselves, like inner critics or wounded children. It fosters harmony within the self.
- Person-Centered Therapy (Rogerian) Emphasizes empathy, unconditional positive regard, and authenticity. It provides a safe space for self-discovery and growth.
- Psychoeducational Therapy Provides education and coping tools about mental health conditions. It empowers clients with knowledge and practical skills.
- Psychosocial Therapy Looks at how social and environmental factors affect psychological health. It emphasizes relationships, community, and resilience.
- Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) Focuses on solutions and future goals rather than past problems. It is practical, short-term, and goal-driven.
- Somatic Therapy Helps clients notice how emotions are stored in the body. It uses breath, movement, and awareness for healing trauma and stress.
Approach Description: Pause. Feel. Tune in. Welcome the triggers and feel into alignment with your true self. Your heart knows the way. I strongly believe that when we can go inward and create space to know and turn towards our true self, that this provides the ultimate platform for healing to take place. In my work with each client, I strive to provide a safe space that fosters this intuitive ability for growth and healing. One that brings you closer to your authentic self and a felt sense of inner alignment. At the same time, I hold high regard for the energetic presence that I bring to each session. This involves an empathic, trauma-informed and non-judgemental approach that is accepting and genuine with each client. I am a client-centred therapist and see each client as the expert of their own experiences, honouring the strengths that each client carries within them. This journey is particularly for those who feel at the whim of their emotions~ disconnected, lost, alone, anxious, overwhelmed, sad or depressed, stressed; and who feel a strong desire to shift their relationship to Self. There are often experiences of self-doubt, self-criticism, and a strong desire to feel better, to feel good enough. Patterns of using food (perhaps unknowingly) to cope and feel better may also exist. I specialize in working with women and Moms (age 25-45), including female youth/young women (age 16-24) wanting to address difficulties related, but not limited to: Life Transitions, Motherhood, parenting, Relationship to Self (self-esteem, self-worth), Interpersonal Relationships (partners, children, family members, colleagues ect.), Mood & Anxiety, ADHD, Stress, Emotional Eating, and Health & Nutrition.
I work with conscious intention to see and hear you where you are today as we move collaboratively through therapy and draw from various therapeutic approaches to move towards desired goals. I uniquely offer holistic nutrition services alongside use of best-practice modalities. Some favourites include, Acceptance and Commitment (ACT), Emotion-Focused (EFT), Dialectical-Behavioural (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Somatic, Movement and mindfulness-based therapies like Mindful Emotional Eating (MEE). I believe that it is important to understand what is at the root of our problems, and can integrate nutrition to support and enhance biological, mental, emotional and spiritual wellness.
I invite you to connect with me to book your initial session, and to learn more about me and the work that I do on my website.
