Stress is an uncomfortable and unavoidable aspect of life. It ebbs and flows, sometimes it feels manageable and other times feels like it will take over everything. Working to building boundaries, coping skills, and learning where our stress is triggered helps to keep stress at a manageable level and give us tools for when it becomes overwhelming.
An EFT approach will be used to explore the stress in your life. EFT focuses on understanding of the role of emotion. By understanding the role of the emotions we can began the process of change and develop a new relationship to process those emotions that benefit your experiences.

Anxiety prevents you from being present and puts you in a position where you are either ruminating about the past or worrying about the future. In the moment, it can feel impossible to get out of it, and one cannot simply snap out of it. Similarly, stress can permeate multiple aspects of your life. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as well as mindfulness exercises to help you manage your anxiety. Eventually, we would also work together to understand why the anxiety shows up and how we can address the original source. Reach out today to book a free consultation.
Stress is one of the most important topics to explore and understand comprehensively; it is what creates and causes so many of the other problems we have. If you are reading this blurb about stress, I am sure you are also dealing with problematic behaviours such as anxiety, reactivity, fatigue, depression, anger issues, isolation, and/or sleep disruption, just to name a few. Stress can come from our relationships, work, school, family, etc., and it can be better understood and managed to reduce the negative impact it can have on our lives. When I work with my clients on stress, which I do with every client, we focus in on why the stress is so impactful for the individual, and what tools or protocols can be used to remedy the issue.
I assist clients in managing stress by providing practical tools and strategies to help them navigate life's pressures. Through a combination of mindfulness techniques, CBT, and stress management practices, I help clients identify triggers, develop coping skills, and create balance in their lives. My goal is to empower individuals to reduce overwhelm, enhance resilience, and cultivate a sense of calm and control amidst daily challenges.
My approach to stress is usually to start with the basics. Is the client getting enough sleep, sunlight, proper nutrition, exercise/movement, social contact? Then we can get into focused coping mechanisms that can help the client reduce and better manage stress. Finding ways to ultimately soothe the nervous system can have profound impact on a person's sense of wellbeing and agency.
For stress, I will utilize a multi-modal approach with cognitive-behavioural therapy and solution-focused therapy. This will focus on the emotions, thoughts and behaviours causing the stress. As well as, identifying solutions to reduce the experience of stress.
