*Accepting New Clients* I understand that therapy can feel overwhelming, that it can be hard and demanding work that requires vulnerability when facing and feeling emotions that are difficult to cope with. My goal as a therapist, is to tailor my approach to ease this process by creating an open, compassionate, non-judgmental, and collaborative space where we will work to help you better understand internal self, your values, and your relationship to yourself and to others. I work with individuals, couples, families, children (6+) and youth and offer a free 15-minute consultation to ensure I am the right fit for your journey.

Client Focus

Session Format: Couple, Family, Individual sessions.
Age Specialty: Adult, Children, Senior, Teen, Young Adult

Treatment Approach

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
  • Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) Focuses on strengthening emotional bonds in couples or families. It helps people identify negative cycles and create more secure connections.
  • Internal Family Systems (IFS) Helps clients heal by working with different ‘parts’ of themselves, like inner critics or wounded children. It fosters harmony within the self.
  • Psychodynamic Therapy Explores unconscious thoughts and patterns that influence current behavior. It builds insight into how the past impacts the present.
Approach Description: I employ a multicultural, individualized, and integrative approach to therapy. I believe Psychotherapy is both a science and an art. I integrate science through the knowledge I have gained in my education and training. My approach integrates multiple therapeutic modalities that best suit your unique needs and challenges. I most often rely on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), psychodynamic theories including Attachment Theory and Family Systems, Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), as well as Mindfulness-Based Interventions (MBI). The art of psychotherapy is another matter. It speaks to our unique interactions we experience together during sessions. It informs the infinite complexities of a human being that can only be untwined through human collaboration and connection. The art of therapy requires me to be deeply rooted in each session we have together, with science as my toolkit. I have been fortunate to gain experience from a range of clinical populations, from children with learning disabilities, to teens developing and learning to manage their emotional experiences, to adults experiencing relationship issues, to elderly end-of-life clients at the Toronto General Hospital. This breadth of experience has helped me tailor my approach to walk alongside clients focused on a wide range of areas. In my work with individuals, I focus on your individual context, family unit, culture and community. Similarly, with couples and families, I strive to understand your individual needs within the context of your relationship or family unit. Finding authenticity in your relationships can help strengthen communication and help foster a deeper understanding of one and another’s needs. At Psychotherapy Collective, our online clinic, we strive to help clients live a life aligned with their values. Visit our website, call me, or email me to schedule a free consultation. I am here to support you on your journey.
