Dr. Ingrid Solano
Psychologist, PhD
Therapy with me is active, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practices—we are doing real work together, not just talking about your week. Each session is intentional and engaging, focused on creating meaningful insight and change you can feel in your daily life.
I see myself as a warm, intuitive, and deeply attentive therapist who believes that meaningful change happens when people feel truly safe, accepted, and understood. My goal is to offer a nonjudgmental space where you can exhale—where you don’t have to have the right words, the right story, or the right reason to be there. Therapy with me is about feeling heard, finding clarity where things have felt confusing or stuck, and reconnecting with yourself in a way that feels real and sustainable.
I am deeply passionate about relationships, emotional honesty, self-acceptance, and the quiet, often unseen struggles people carry. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling anxious, low, overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure why they’re unhappy when, on the surface, life looks “fine.” I work with individuals and couples navigating anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, co-dependency, shame, guilt, and the lasting impact of past experiences or trauma. I also help people talk about things that are hard to name—topics that may feel embarrassing, stigmatized, or kept private for a long time.
I especially enjoy working with people who are curious about themselves and open to growth, even if they feel nervous or unsure at first. You don’t need to be “creative” or insightful to start—just willing to show up. Together, we gently explore your thoughts, emotions, and patterns, and look for more flexible, compassionate ways of relating to yourself and the people you care about. Therapy doesn’t have to feel heavy all the time; there can be space for curiosity, reflection, and even moments of lightness along the way.
My approach is grounded in evidence-based therapies, offered with warmth and humanity. While we honor your past, our work focuses on what’s happening now—and on helping you feel more present, more grounded, and more aligned with your values. I strive to help clients move through life with greater awareness, emotional balance, and self-trust, while reducing the anxiety, sadness, or self-criticism that may be getting in the way.
I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), the Unified Protocol for emotional difficulties, and mindfulness-based approaches, including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) skills. In simple terms, this means we work together to notice patterns in thoughts, feelings, and behaviors—and gently shift what’s no longer serving you. These approaches are practical, supportive, and designed to help you feel better, not just understand why you feel the way you do.
At its heart, therapy with me is about building a genuine, supportive relationship—one that helps you feel more like yourself, more connected to others, and more confident in how you move through your life.

I utilize evidence-based interventions to help you overcome mental health challenges - whether it is due to social situations, life changes, trauma, or just something you've always dealt with - we can create a treatment plan specialized to fit your unique needs. Therapies include Cognitive Processing Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy which I combine with a collaborative approach based on your level of need, in addition to educating you on the how's and why's of each intervention we use. I believe empowering and educating people is the key to success when it comes to creating lasting change in our lives. ~~~
I have years of experiencing working both online and in person with individuals, couples, and families. I primarily work with women and nonbinary folks, those in the LGBTQIA+ community, as well as teens, and young to middle-aged adults. Helping others discover and become more confident in who they are so they can shine is one of my passions. ~~~
I create a safe environment via video conferencing where you can attend therapy from the comfort of your own home, in a space without judgment where you can truly be yourself.
I am currently accepting new clients in the state of California, and I have availability within the same or next week. Click that contact button and schedule a free phone call to see if we would be a good fit!

Kristin Robert
Marriage and Family Therapist, AMFT
I approach therapy with steadiness, depth, and respect for the complexity of being human. I bring more than 17 years of experience in the mental health and addiction field, including a decade of leadership within high-acuity treatment. I have worked alongside people and families during crisis, relapse, profound loss, psychiatric instability, relational rupture, and the long, uneven process of rebuilding a life. That experience shaped my ability to remain grounded when circumstances are intense, answers are unclear, or several conflicting truths exist at once.
I do not rush people toward acceptance, forgiveness, or a solution before their experience has been fully understood. Not every loss can be transformed into a lesson, and not every painful chapter can be tied neatly with a bow. Sometimes the first meaningful shift is finally being able to name what happened without minimizing it, defending someone else, or questioning whether you are entitled to feel its impact. I work to create a space where difficult material can be spoken plainly, examined carefully, and held without judgment, shame, or pressure to perform healing correctly.
I do not understand people as broken, disordered, or reduced to a collection of symptoms. Anxiety, perfectionism, withdrawal, control, people-pleasing, anger, hyper-independence, and emotional shutdown rarely develop without context. They often began as intelligent attempts to remain safe, connected, accepted, or functional in circumstances that required adaptation. The problem is not that these responses once existed. The problem is that strategies developed for survival can quietly become the architecture of an adult life, continuing long after the original danger has passed.
Therapy allows us to slow the pattern down enough to understand it. Together, we examine what shaped you, what you learned to expect from relationships, which roles you were assigned or adopted, and what parts of yourself became unacceptable, inconvenient, or unsafe to express. We look at what continues to repeat despite insight and effort, where your present choices may still be organized around old fears, and what it costs to remain loyal to ways of living that no longer fit.
My style is relational, warm, direct, and deeply engaged. I am not a silent therapist, and I will not offer polished reassurance when honesty would serve you better. I listen closely, ask intentional questions, identify patterns, and offer perspective or challenge when it can deepen the work. I also remain attentive to pacing. Directness without attunement can become intrusion, just as compassion without honesty can leave someone understood but unchanged. I believe meaningful therapy requires both care and accountability, held in a relationship where difficult conversations can feel safe enough to have.
I draw from attachment-based, somatic, motivational, cognitive behavioral, and depth-oriented approaches. I do not force clients into a single theory or rely on a one-size-fits-all model. Some experiences need language and meaning. Others are carried through bodily activation, numbness, vigilance, or a nervous system that has not yet recognized that the threat has ended. Some patterns require practical intervention, while others must be understood at their roots. The work is shaped around the person in front of me and what will allow change to become both meaningful and sustainable.
I work especially well with clients seeking deep, transformational work rather than symptom management alone. You do not need to arrive with perfect insight, a clear goal, or the language to explain everything. What matters is a willingness to become curious about what is happening beneath the surface, to examine what is and is not working, and to participate honestly in the process. Motivation does not mean certainty. It means being willing to remain in the conversation when the work becomes uncomfortable, complicated, or unexpectedly revealing.
Therapy is not about becoming a more acceptable version of yourself. It is about distinguishing who you are from who you had to become to feel safe, loved, needed, or protected. It is about deciding which adaptations still serve you, which have become too costly, and how to remain connected to others without repeatedly abandoning yourself.
At the center of my work is a belief in each person’s capacity for self-understanding, agency, and meaningful choice. I bring clinical knowledge and experience, but I do not position myself as the authority over your inner life. You are the person who has lived it. My role is to help you see more clearly, make connections that may have remained outside awareness, and create enough safety and honesty for something different to become possible. I hold that responsibility with care, seriousness, humility, and a genuine respect for the trust required to invite another person into the places you have learned to keep hidden.
