Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, LMFT
In our first session, I'll be as fully present online as I would be in the office. I'll make you as comfortable as possible as I listen to the feelings and conflicts you've come to discuss. Together we'll find a way through whatever challenges you're facing.
COUPLES: For a limited time I am offering a free 50-minute session to all new clients. Do you feel trapped in an endless cycle of disappointment and disconnection? Are you tiptoeing around each other’s defenses, trying to avoid another argument? How well does communication work in your relationship? You want your relationship be a refuge from the storm, but right now it doesn’t even feel safe. If you're ready for real change, I can help you create the relationship you really want. I have already helped countless couples in the Roseville area, and I can help you too.

Online therapy has strong benefits that are not always obvious to clients before starting. I have found that this can often make online therapy even more effective than in person therapy. It's also a great option during Covid to continue to stay safe and take steps towards living the life you want.
Online therapy offers flexibility and convenience for many clients such as parents and students. I work with individuals to provide therapy catered to increasing self-compassion and self-awareness and decreasing the impact of triggers.
Online therapy works great! There's real convenience in being able to talk to a professional without the stress of commuting. Through my online platform, I can also share resources with you that will be helpful to your treatment. If you have any questions or concerns about how to make online therapy work for you, please let me know.
Wondering how effective teletherapy is? In my experience, it works great. I wrote about my thoughts on online therapy in a blog post here: https://mindandprose.com/teletherapy-is-it-awesome-or-awful-the-ultimate-guide/
You are about to begin an important journey to explore your struggles, connection with yourself and others, and how you can live in deeper alignment with your values. You might be challenged by your intimate relationships, you may be dealing with a chronic illness, the loss of a loved one, feeling overwhelmed or stagnant. You might want to cultivate a deeper sense of meaning and purpose in your life. I believe that traditional talk therapy can be powerful alone, but integrating mindfulness of the body can more adequately address experiences in the present moment and help transform deeply ingrained beliefs or patterns. I will encourage you to move beneath words and life stories, so experiences can be felt and understood, allowing your innate wisdom to support change. I will also integrate behavioral therapies to help you cultivate the necessary skills for building a sense of emotional resilience and nurturing healthy relationships. You don't have to be alone on your journey. Therapy is a courageous act, a gesture of willingness to turn towards your inner world. Together, we will create a safe and supportive space for reflection and change on your path towards healing, growth, and reclaiming of your life.
Finding the time and money to get professional input is very difficult for busy mothers and working women with families. Sometimes even a 30 minute conversation with a counselor would help in sorting out a relationship problem with a child, a friend or a mate. But, juggling family needs and schedules makes that impossible. Consider having a phone session at a time that fits with your time schedule!
As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I work with teens (14+), adults and families looking to work through their mental health challenges, all while improving their relationship with both themselves and others. I am experienced in treating individuals and families impacted by addiction, eating disorders, anxiety, relational conflict, depression, perfectionism, low self worth, life transitions and more. This includes clients currently struggling with substance abuse and disordered eating. I chose to pursue a second career as a LMFT due to my strong, personal interest in eating disorders, addiction, anxiety, low self worth and complex family systems. I strive to be a clinician who understands the nuances of these intricate issues, and I take a non-judgmental approach when walking with clients on their road of discovery and recovery. I treat clients with the warmth, empathy and respect that they deserve. I honor each client's unique lived experience, and I see my clients as whole people rather than a diagnosis. I work collaboratively with clients in an effort to support their needs and initiate personal growth. My approach is to offer an authentic and welcoming therapeutic space.
Licensed Clinical Social Worker, LCSW, Psychotherapist, Psychoanalytic Candidate
My name is Sam, and I'm a psychoanalytic therapist who is passionate about helping adults and teens navigate life's complexities. Whether you're an adult seeking deeper understanding of yourself or a young person embarking on your journey, I offer a safe and compassionate space for meaning making and growth.
My approach is rooted in psychoanalysis and depth psychology, which delve into the unconscious mind. We'll work together to uncover patterns, beliefs, and experiences that may be shaping your current challenges. This can include chronic behaviors, relationship difficulties, or simply a feeling of being stuck.
The therapeutic process can be quirky and surprising. I believe in fostering a collaborative environment where curiosity and the therapeutic relationship can be powerful tools for self-discovery. At its core, my practice is built on empathy and a genuine desire to see you thrive.
Online therapy is a modern and convenient way to access therapy sessions using your computer, smartphone, or tablet. Instead of meeting in person, we'll connect through a secure video platform to have real-time conversations just like we would in an office setting. This allows you to attend therapy from wherever you have internet access, whether it's from the comfort of your own space, at work, or while traveling, you've got the flexibility to prioritize your well-being on your own time. No need to rush out the door—just log on, and we can connect!
I work with a diverse population of adolescents, adults, and couples on issues such as: acute and complex trauma, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, gender and sexuality, substance abuse / addiction, ADHD, identity development, life transitions, and interpersonal/romantic relationships. Passionate about a holistic approach to healing, I am also a trauma-informed yoga and mindfulness instructor, and have taught veterans, teens, and incarcerated youth. Prior to pursuing a career as a psychologist, I worked in the New York City art world and am interested in how creativity, spirituality, and transcendent experiences can inform mental health and well-being.
Meeting online allows you to choose the safest and most comforting environment to you, and, the time when your brain and body are most available for deeper, emotional work. I'll get to know your space, your language, and your stories, and together we'll grow to use your choice of environment and tools as resources for our therapeutic work. While I can't welcome you into an office with a handshake, we're able to meet from our independent spaces with eye contact and genuine expressions of connection. We're still able to effectively use an integrative approach using body-oriented and cognitive techniques in therapy, including: Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocess (EMDR) and Dynamic Attachment Re-patterning Experience (DARe), an attachment-based approach to Somatic Experiencing.
I provide a safe space for clients to process whatever emotions or responses they may be experiencing. I have over 3,500 hours of experience doing therapy with various types of clients. I recently graduated from an MFT program and have enjoyed interacting with a new set of clients. I am particularly interested in working with clients who have had trauma, abuse, or difficulty with life transitions. I make myself available to give clients the ability to process their lives in a new way. If you believe I could be a good fit for you as your therapist, please get in touch with me.
Online therapy with me is ideal for busy people - it's more convenient to fit into your schedule, without adding long drive times to get to the office. My clients find our online connection just as real, close and supportive as they do in the office.
