"How did we end up here?" you wonder, as you and your partner fall into yet another version of the same argument you've been having for years. No matter what you try, the cycle repeats, leaving you both feeling more frustrated and disconnected each time. Breaking free of this pattern requires the help of an experienced couple therapist with a keen understanding of how brain-based differences and other nervous system disrupters, like burnout or trauma, are part of the picture. Online couple therapy is a convenient and flexible option for connecting with a therapist who has the precise expertise to help with your unique circumstances, and Dr. McGinn is especially well-equipped to help couples who are navigating ADHD, Autism, OCD, or other forms of neurodivergence.
