Dina Hijazi

Psychologist, PhD, CSAT
Hi all, I’m Dr. Dina Hijazi, PhD, CSAT. My clinical work focuses on the holistic treatment of relationships—with both self and others. This includes supporting individuals, couples, and families navigating anxiety, depression, intimacy disorders, trauma, and addiction, always with a focus on emotional, psychological, and social well-being. With over 35 years of experience I'm sure I can help you. My educational journey includes a Bachelor’s degree in psychology from Purdue University, a Master’s from Notre Dame University, and a Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin. Postdoctoral training in family systems therapy and trauma/addiction work was completed under the mentorship of Pia Mellody and Patrick Carnes. I also hold national certifications in Sex Addiction Therapy (CSAT), Multiple Addiction Therapy (CMAT), and training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). Sharing this work with broader audiences has been deeply fulfilling—whether through The Meadows Lecture Series, The Dallas Free Lecture Series, or speaking engagements at universities, conferences, and schools. Alignment Psychotherapy, PLLC

Psychologist, LP, PhD
Pain often shows up when there’s a gap between who we are right now and who we hope to become. This disconnect can be shaped by internal challenges like anxiety, depression, ADHD, physical health issues, or unresolved trauma, as well as external pressures such as difficult relationships, job demands, or broader systems of inequality and injustice. All of these factors can make it harder to recognize what truly matters to us and take steps in that direction. As therapists, our aim is to support your mental well-being, help you reconnect with your values, and empower you to build a life that feels more fulfilling, purposeful, and aligned with who you want to be.
