Toronto, Ontario therapist: Ekta Abhay Lather, registered psychotherapist
Serving Persons with Disabilities

Ekta Abhay Lather

Registered Psychotherapist, Registered Psychotherapist
I'm Ekta, a Registered Psychotherapist based in Toronto. I work with women and adults who are stuck in cycles of overthinking, people-pleasing, emotional exhaustion, and self-doubt — people who are highly capable on the outside but running on empty within. Together we slow things down, make sense of what's actually going on beneath the surface, and build something that feels real — not just coping strategies, but actual change.

Serving Persons with Disabilities

Azin Heydari

Registered Psychotherapist, RP; MA
I work alongside you on this self-exploratory journey, not only showing curiosity about the thoughts that shape your emotional world but also the nervous system patterns held in your body. Real change occurs when the mind and body begin communicating differently, and I will collaborate with you to explore this process with care, curiosity, and evidence-based tools. My approach is warm, relational, and grounded in trauma-informed methods that create space for deep emotional work at a pace that feels safe. If you’re ready to understand your patterns, reconnect with yourself, and find lasting relief—not quick fixes—I am here to support your healing through this process.

Mississauga, Ontario therapist: Ps. I Love You Psychotherapy | M. Caracciolo Professional Corporation, registered psychotherapist

Ps. I Love You Psychotherapy | M. Caracciolo Professional Corporation

Registered Psychotherapist, HBEd, MA (Hons.), Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), C-DBT
They say our greatest weakness lies in giving up! We have all been there. My name is Maria Veronica Caracciolo, and I decided that if life was going to be difficult, I would become its greatest “warrior” and teach others to do the same. Too often we use our armour to hide our inner selves, rather than see it as our strength which only comes from taking a risk, facing our fears, taking a step forward, and learning that every battle is won with wisdom. I am here to empower you to take that chance on yourself — your mind is a powerful force, but you are its master. Through various forms of therapy, one can explore different perspectives, coping skills, and motivators to establish better relationships; self-esteem and self-direction; deal with complicated family or couple dynamics; face a significant crisis or transition; manage substance use or addiction; and collaboratively make cognitive and behavioral changes to better emotional, mental, and even physical health!

Toronto, Ontario therapist: Tehmina Ayana Meherali, counselor/therapist
Serving Persons with Disabilities

Tehmina Ayana Meherali

Counsellor/Therapist, M.Ed, CCC, CMHP
Healing happens in relationship and I create a heart-centered space for our work together. I have many years of experience working with clients on issues ranging from anxiety to relationship difficulties and life transitions. I use a therapy model called Internal Family Systems (IFS), which helps you understand the different parts of you that are experiencing challenges. For instance, there may be a part of you who is a perfectionist, or a part that may feel overwhelming anxiety. We get to know these parts of you in a compassionate and curious way, which helps you to get to the root cause. Through this clarity, a spaciousness opens up in your psyche and body, which can often lead to profound healing. I teach clients how to engage their mind, body, and spirit in the healing process.

Do you feel overwhelmed by your emotions, stuck in patterns that no longer serve you, or unsure of who you are anymore? Maybe you're navigating anxiety, depression, low self-worth, or relationship challenges. You might feel lost in transition—grappling with a recent change, a difficult past, or trying to break free from behaviours that leave you feeling disconnected. These emotions can be heavy and confusing, and it’s okay if you’re not sure where to start. I’m here to help you make sense of what you're feeling and why. Therapy with me offers a compassionate, person-centred space where your story is honoured and explored with curiosity, not judgment. With training in Emotion-Focused Therapy, Attachment-Based, CBT, DBT, and Narrative Therapy, I offer an integrative, trauma-informed approach tailored to your needs. Together, we’ll explore the roots of your struggles, increase self-understanding, and work toward the emotional clarity and change you're seeking. You don’t have to carry these feelings alone. Whether you're navigating life transitions, feeling anxious or emotionally stuck, or looking to strengthen your sense of self and relationships, we can explore this together. Niagara Falls, Ontario therapist: Adrienne Sharma-Richardson PhD MEd RP OCT, registered psychotherapist
Serving Persons with Disabilities

Adrienne Sharma-Richardson PhD MEd RP OCT

Registered Psychotherapist, Registered Gestalt Psychotherapist Somatic Experiencing Practitioner Gottman Trained Couples Therapist
As a gestalt psychotherapist, who pairs gestalt training with somatic experiencing I can help support you in healing from your trauma. No one in the Niagara Region utilizes the combination of these therapies and applies them to working with couples in crisis. Gottman (couples) and Post Induction Therapy training (relational/developmental trauma) I am sorry to say but popular approaches to healing trauma like CBT will provide only temporary relief at best. If you want to get to the root of your trauma and heal somatic experiencing (SE) is what you need and when supported with the power of relational gestalt therapy you will shift your shit! SE focuses on regulating your nervous system. With SE work trauma responses are completed and energy is released back into the system and with this the resolution and disappearance of physical complaints, including headaches, digestive problems, and pain syndromes can be resolved, and emotional regulation can be restored. I will teach you how to work with your stress response - the body's innate alarm system in response to a perceived danger, also called the "Fight or Flight" response. It is highly adaptive to danger and human survival when threats are physical, but less so when threats are psychological, or imaginary, among other somatic and relational skills. I have been trained under Dr Abi Blakeslee part of Dr Peter A Levine's legacy group out of California for Somatic Experiencing and the late great Dr Bud Feder the author of Beyond the Hot Seat was on my dissertation committee overseeing a phenomenological study of the effectiveness of a gestalt therapy group I created to reduce stress in working informal caregivers of the elderly. I named the group process Stressed WOW (We Overloaded with Work). Gestalt therapy is an extremely complex psychotherapy, too complex to describe in this short space. The power of its effectiveness can only be experienced. Most present day therapies have stolen bits and pieces of its praxis. Get the whole again with a holistic, here and now, experiential therapy. I am here for you... I've got your six!
