My goal is to guide you to greater self-understanding and self-compassion while empowering you to create your own strategies and solutions towards making positive change in your life. I believe everyone can benefit from working with a therapist; a chance to talk openly and confidentially with someone whose sole intent is to form a therapeutic alliance with you, about you and for your wellbeing. Whether we are working with intrusive and negative thought patterns, or deeper nervous system and emotional issues as a result of trauma, my aim is to find a treatment protocol that works for you and at your pace and comfort level. I love supporting others in becoming aware of their feelings and behaviours, and in meeting those patterns with compassion and understanding for how and why they were formed. From that place of awareness and compassion, we’re able to move forward with greater intention and choice. The therapeutic journey is a path to insight, healing and growth that can help to improve your relationships (with yourself and others) and lead you to a more fulfilling and joyful life.

Treatment Approach
- Art Therapy Uses creative activities like drawing, painting, or sculpture as a way to express emotions. It is especially helpful when words are hard to find.
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
- Experiential Therapy Involves hands-on activities to bring emotions into the present moment. It helps clients process feelings more deeply than through conversation alone.
- Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) A structured therapy that uses guided eye movements to help process traumatic memories. It is widely recognized for treating PTSD and trauma-related conditions.
- Internal Family Systems (IFS) Helps clients heal by working with different ‘parts’ of themselves, like inner critics or wounded children. It fosters harmony within the self.
- Person-Centered Therapy (Rogerian) Emphasizes empathy, unconditional positive regard, and authenticity. It provides a safe space for self-discovery and growth.
- Psychodynamic Therapy Explores unconscious thoughts and patterns that influence current behavior. It builds insight into how the past impacts the present.
- Psychoeducational Therapy Provides education and coping tools about mental health conditions. It empowers clients with knowledge and practical skills.
- Somatic Therapy Helps clients notice how emotions are stored in the body. It uses breath, movement, and awareness for healing trauma and stress.
- Transactional Analysis Explores interactions through the lens of Parent, Adult, and Child roles. It aims to improve communication and self-awareness.
Approach Description: I encourage a collaborative and creative process between client and therapist; one that engages all aspects of the Self so that relief will be experienced on emotional, physical, and spiritual planes. In our partnership, I begin by learning about you and gaining an empathic understanding of what factors have contributed to both your current mental/emotional state and the deeper patterns at play. I am committed to supporting you as you explore and dissect these patterns and create a personal action plan towards positive and sustainable choices. I encourage self-reflection and might challenge you to notice your ‘blind spots’ (for example, how you might be contributing to your suffering by falling into old patterns) and I promote self-acceptance and accountability.
I’m happy to offer a free phone consultation to see if we would be a good fit and to help get us started.
