Many of my clients feel lost or stuck in their lives. They often feel troubled by their relationships, work situations, unmet dreams, and transitions into different stages of life. Our culture does not offer many forums for authentic exploration of life's challenges. My work supports you in exploring the underlying causes of such feelings as anxiety, depression, fear, emptiness, despair, resentment, anger. I offer a very non-judgmental environment where we can examine different life patterns and core beliefs which may be negatively affecting your quality of life. If you feel isolated in your challenges, I can offer perspectives and insights that will help you understand yourself more and discover that you are not alone. My goal is to provide hope, insight and new perspectives to my clients. I am an avid reader, researcher and learner and work to find a good match with each client and a suitable counselling approach. Working as a psychologist is a second career for me. I have extensive life experience and work experience in science, business and work teams.

Treatment Approach

  • Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) Helps people accept difficult thoughts and feelings instead of fighting them, while committing to actions that reflect their values. It blends mindfulness with practical behavior strategies.
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Combines CBT with mindfulness to help regulate emotions, tolerate stress, and build stronger relationships. Originally designed for borderline personality disorder, it’s now used more broadly.
  • Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) Focuses on strengthening emotional bonds in couples or families. It helps people identify negative cycles and create more secure connections.
  • Existential / Humanistic Therapy Encourages people to explore meaning, freedom, and authenticity in their lives. It focuses on personal growth and living in alignment with one’s values.
  • Person-Centered Therapy (Rogerian) Emphasizes empathy, unconditional positive regard, and authenticity. It provides a safe space for self-discovery and growth.
  • Psychoanalytic Therapy Based on Freud’s theories, it explores unconscious conflicts and past experiences. It seeks to bring hidden issues into awareness.
