Treatment Approach
- Christian Counseling Blends psychological practices with Christian values and scripture. It provides faith-based support for life challenges and spiritual growth.
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
- Multicultural Therapy Acknowledges the role of culture, race, and identity in mental health. It values diversity and adapts treatment to each person’s background.
- Somatic Therapy Helps clients notice how emotions are stored in the body. It uses breath, movement, and awareness for healing trauma and stress.
Approach Description: Coaching is not a cure all, but it is a "can do" modality that can help you gain access to more of your strengths, skills, and talents. I believe that you can do: You can accomplish your dreams and goals. You can become the person you want to be. You can break out of habits that don't serve you. You can create a lifestyle that reflects your inner truth. You can do! As a coach, I am here to help you. Taking a 5Ps approach, together we can explore your "perception" of your current situation; gain "perspective" on the origins and instigators of your situation and on how you’d prefer to experience in the future; "prioritize" manageable and sustainable steps toward this future; ensure they are aligned with your professional and personal "purpose"; and put into "practice" the tools and behaviors to get you to that desired future. Setting aside time for yourself is not a luxury—it is a necessity for authentic, satisfying personal success. Coaching provides a structured method for using that time. Trauma and painful experiences can lead us to feel broken, but we do not have to live in that state of brokenness. We all have so many different facets of ourselves that are just itching to be discovered, explored, and put to use in ways that serve us. My job is to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can think about who you are, who you want to be, what you already have, and how that can help you become the person you want to be.
