Online therapists in West Virginia
Erika Rucker
Licensed Professional Counselor, LPC, MS, BSN
It is my goal to utilize online counseling as a means to meet individuals where they are. Counseling is already hard to access and difficult for people to attend in an office. Online counseling provides an easy and effective way to offer counseling to those who otherwise wouldn't be able to attend.

Sometimes it may not be practical to meet in a therapy office, especially with the current pandemic. As a result, I offer online therapy to meet my patient's needs. We meet face-to-face in my virtual office and are still able to establish that therapeutic connection.

Andrea Elkon
Psychologist, Ph.D.
Asking for help is challenging enough, and I believe that the online format removes some of the other stressors normally associated with beginning therapy. One of the most important "ingredients" for success in therapy is feeling comfortable in the therapy setting. With online therapy, clients enjoy the convenience of meeting with me from wherever they feel most comfortable. Online therapy also eliminates the need for a commute to an office or sitting in a waiting area. With some of the stress eliminated, we can really get to work!

Dr. Adam Shafer
Psychologist, Psy. D., M.A.
Life in recent times has required all of us to make adjustments and transition some parts of our lives to the virtual space. It makes sense that healthcare services accommodate the needs of people in this way to offer the opportunity for support from afar. As a result, a significant part of my practice over the past few years has been in the service of providing tele-therapy for those who reside within the states governed by PSYPACT. For more information about my availability, please feel free to contact me.

We are pleased to offer teletherapy at this time as an option for our clients. We have found teletherapy to be a way to improve access to care for many. We suggest speaking with your provider about whether teletherapy is recommended for you.

Psychologist, PsyD
I have extensive experience with college students, young adults and established professionals, with a particular focus on individuals navigating life transitions such as college and graduation, young adulthood, relationship changes, pregnancy and parenthood. I also have expertise in the treatment of disordered eating, particularly binge eating disorder, and “body focused repetitive behaviors” such as hair pulling and skin picking. Having previously worked in global talent management, I work well with clients who feel stuck professionally, struggle with work/life balance, or are considering a career change. I am also an experienced clinical supervisor, providing training and oversight to other doctoral level therapists.
I welcome and am actively affirming of individuals of all sexual orientations, gender identities and cultural backgrounds, and frequently work with clients who are exploring various aspects of their identity.

Hope I. Hills, Ph.D.
Psychologist, Licensed Psychologist in NC, Authorized PsyPact Practitioner in 40 states
Although I see clients in person if you live close to me in NC, I am "authorized" to see clients through Teletherapy by PsyPact, which lets me work with folks in all PsyPact states. I see individuals and couples (who sometimes aren't in the same place!) on my platform, and there is an "ease" that I don't think people expect. My core theory approach is Interpersonal Psychotherapy (combined with CBT, Gestalt, attention to lifestyle, spiritual life and career). I use testing to give us a "quickstart", namely the MBTI, FIRO/B, and Strong Interest Inventory. I also have a list of "handouts" (You wouldn't guess that I've been a professor in Counseling Psychology, would you?!) and a model called the Interpersonal Flexibility Circle that I've developed to more clearly see concretely how relationships really work. All of these methods support our work and are teletherapy friendly. All of them support both individual and relationship therapy (even your relationship with all ages of your SELF!) I use an approach that helps people to rather quickly recognize how their "stuck challenges" and defenses have been "safety maneuvers" for perhaps their whole lives. How enlightening and empowering!
